My project is finally online

I've been on Kvr for quite a long time but I never posted any music here.
And finally I finished the website for my project yesterday, all in flash My music is finally online!!

I'd be really glad to get your comments on the songs and on the website. It has all been lot and lots of work.

Nice site, nice songs, thumbs up from these parts of the wood! Nice production work all over, and good, quality pop songs. Singer's voice is pleasant, perhaps even a little too pleasant for my taste, but hey, everyone's got an opinion...

The string stabs in "Dance Tonight" are mixed a little too loud, and the drums are a wee bit anonymous. Nice and tight, though, cool bassline.
"Close to Christmas" is a great little tune, radio friendly stuff indeed. "Seed" is a nice, catchy tune too.

Now, I'll apologize in advance in case I'm mistaken but: I *think* I hear a little too much artificial vibrato (Autotune) in the singer's voice...? I'm only bringing this up 'coz I've been there myself, so no disrespect whatsoever, and if I'm mistaken, then I'm sorry. That about sums it up, I guess.

What a magnificent voice Stace has; pleasant, versatile, expressive and very appealing. Music wise, this is pretty tight and well produced. I think with a years time you'd probably be feeling each other quite well to find a sound of your own, which I think is what is missing yet.

What did turn me off a tad was the quite noticable autotune on Dance tonight as I think she's quite capable of doing the notes without the correction.

What I personally would love to hear is some experimental triphoppish music like portishead/moloko/cinerex.

We have now two new songs online, a new "dance" song and another pop one.

Bitstream: thanks so much for the comments on the mixing! I did a thousands different mixes of dance tonight with strings low, string high and all the different variations. I uploaded tonight a new song "Solitaire" and I tried to get the voice more in the mix instead. Concerning the vibrato, it is not autotune, but Stace's voice itself. AT is with very sloppy parameters.

Mysthar: DAnce tonight needs a new mix. It is so interesting to know everyone's favorite. I was surprised to see Everything was yours. I added a voting feature now

It worked, but the popup annoyed me because it disrupted my window layout. My browser sits in a specific place on my screen, at a specific size. All my open websites are opened as tabs, so they're all the same size and in the same window. Websites like yours deny me my right to arrange my windows however I like. The Chemical Brothers website does that too, which is why I never visit it (even though I'm a fan). I can't even resize your window.

One of the great things about HTML is that the viewing window can be nearly any shape/size and the page elements will rearrange to look best for the situation.

Hell, if you're going to eshew HTML for a flash program that I'm not allowed to resize or integrate into my browser tabs, you might as well make it a stand-alone application. :roll


Your music was pretty good. The Christmas one was my favourite - I like your pop stuff better than the dance.
