Again, what was included was just a very small part of Redmatica technology, and not the really important one. Did you read the thread?
I'm not that familiar with all the details of redmatica. Based on that its possible Apple will use a few small bits of technology from camel audio and the rest will disappear into obscurity which would be very sad indeed. At this point let's hope for more

I'm sure Apple won't be losing any sleep over it.

Probably not...

Wait! Unless there were other PC users feeling the same way I do about Apple and Mac!!! Would THAT be possible?
Mmmmh, I wonder...

Z3ta was bought from the maker by Cakewalk not changed still available. Ok they changed the GUI after a while took some things out put some things in. That's why it never gets new features like u-he plugins get. The talent that made Z3ta is gone. Camel might go the same way, It gets listed on Apples website and hardly any work done on it for the next ten years.

See, this is what I don't get. So people are "babies" because they don't want all their music production software obsolete? Granted, it's highly unlikely that out of the 100 plus VSTs I have (none of them being Alchemy by the way) more than maybe 1 or 2 tops would be bought by Apple or any company that would ultimately screw over its user base, but it's understandable that this is upsetting for people who sunk hundreds if not thousands of dollars into software and sound packs.

If I were in the same position as Ben and somebody offered me millions of dollars, I'm sure I'd take it too, especially since I've been dirt poor my whole life. That doesn't mean that customers have to be happy about this.

I could wish things on Apple users who are so tickled by this and rubbing it in the noses of Windows users but I don't because it's just petty and immature.

That doesn't mean I have warm and fuzzy feelings about Apple.

dream on. apple will die soon enough, like atari, commodore, compaq and countless others.

That would possibly be true...if apple were only a computer company, but they make a LOT of stuff. Their phone sales alone are worth more than ALL of Microsoft and Google combined. They're not going anywhere anytime soon.

Lots of entitlement rearing its head now that the utopian vision of Camel Audio has come crashing down. This is why you don't treat a for profit company as your friend. What you pay for is what you get nothing more nothing less. Once you start thinking of it that way you wont throw a fit when big bad Apple swoops in grabs your favorite company.

Best wishes to all the Camel Audio guys, I would love for them to convince me to come over to the dark side.

PS don't come anywhere near my Omnisphere :hihi:

Apple made 8 million an hour that's pounds in the last two months. Atari hardly had enough cash to survive after making each product they made some really bad choices with the Atari Jaguar. Atari had to pay tax too which Apple is exempt from.

WRONG. Rene Ceballos went to work for Cakewalk, and was the chief engineer behind Dimension Pro and Rapture. You should get more information before writing things like this.
