Rene Ceballos left Cakewalk in 2011. So for the last three years Z3ta has been in the hands of people who didn't program it.fmr wrote:WRONG. Rene Ceballos went to work for Cakewalk, and was the chief engineer behind Dimension Pro and Rapture. You should get more information before writing things like this.Kaboom75 wrote:Z3ta was bought from the maker by Cakewalk not changed still available. Ok they changed the GUI after a while took some things out put some things in. That's why it never gets new features like u-he plugins get. The talent that made Z3ta is gone. Camel might go the same way, It gets listed on Apples website and hardly any work done on it for the next ten years.

i dont know about this either, like people hating each other cause someone has a ps4 instead of xbox one.... etc. no one has any advantages, the managers etc. get the profit and earn the money and the slaves fight each other. like politicians, making war and their slaves fight their wars.wagtunes wrote:See, this is what I don't get. So people are "babies" because they don't want all their music production software obsolete? Granted, it's highly unlikely that out of the 100 plus VSTs I have (none of them being Alchemy by the way) more than maybe 1 or 2 tops would be bought by Apple or any company that would ultimately screw over its user base, but it's understandable that this is upsetting for people who sunk hundreds if not thousands of dollars into software and sound packs.Arglebargle wrote:I wish Apple would buy all VST companies, give all the babies something to really cry about.
If I were in the same position as Ben and somebody offered me millions of dollars, I'm sure I'd take it too, especially since I've been dirt poor my whole life. That doesn't mean that customers have to be happy about this.
I could wish things on Apple users who are so tickled by this and rubbing it in the noses of Windows users but I don't because it's just petty and immature.
That doesn't mean I have warm and fuzzy feelings about Apple.
im no fan of apples' philosophy and didnt use their macs much as i didnt like the handling in the past but i dont say their products are bad. i hate exclusivity etc. im kinda glad in gaming about multiplatforming but only if it is done right...

People keep saying this but, there's a good chance that no one benefits... Mac or PC users. There is no guarantee an Alchemy 2 will ever see the light of day.Caine123 wrote:F*ck! ok so a big cash in for camel audio and a big middle finger to all pc users! is it disrespectful to say i hate Camel Audio now? guess it doesnt matter cause as a user i lost and as a dev they won big cash..... business at its best.

Kind of silly, to just to a conclusion about, Camel's plugs not working on PC, any longer. There are Apple things that are made for PC, as well, I believe.

Don't know about you, but my CA plugins still work on PC. And will continue to work for as long as there will be compatibility mode for Windows 7 in future versions of Windows.

Very good point about future Windows versions...Hmm, that could be a game changer...but it might not make sense for MS to change that part. But if Windows, gets so advanced...hmm.EvilDragon wrote:Don't know about you, but my CA plugins still work on PC. If you DL'd and installed the files from your account after the announcement on CA's website, all products will stop working and go into demo mode on July 5th.

You really believe that? Can we know on what solid informations you ground this theory?layzer wrote:dream on. apple will die soon enough, like atari, commodore, compaq and countless others.Arglebargle wrote:I wish Apple would buy all VST companies, give all the babies something to really cry about.
(And Commodore is not dead BTW. Ok it is, but its products are still the best computers EVER made!

Yes, and then he left. I don't think he had anything to do with z3ta 2, for example, even though z3ta was his original product. That's what was meant, not that he didn't go to Cakewalk in the first place.Deist wrote:The guy from RGC was in the dev team for Rapture and Dimension Pro man.Kaboom75 wrote:Z3ta was bought from the maker by Cakewalk not changed still available.
