Name one music-oriented product, for instance. :hihi:

Yes, things like iTunes and QuickTime. Both are a huge load of bloat and cr@pware and only exist for facilitating the use of Apple's iGadgets on PC.

Camel Audio's plugins are dead on PC. Of course they will work for some time as MS is pretty good for retaining compatibility between different versions of OS. But no support and no guarantees that some DAW breaks something and then the devs blame CA and refuse to fix it.

And obviously there's no guarantee that Mac users will see Alchemy 2 any time soon either. It might as well be that Apple bought them to use their re-synthesis tech in other products like voice recognition and synthesis in phones or tablets.

You act like as if devs don't know each other, or "aren't friends" with each other.

I'm not commenting this any further. This thread is already taking it's course.
 aww don't flounce out yet

So all developers know each other and are friends?

you're just taking one lie and building another on top of it, trouble is people seem to swallow everything they read on here as fact.

I think what many of Camel users are afraid of is. Long time ago Apple bought Logic off its creator then made it Mac OS only. Camel plugins might be added as part of Logic's built in effects and instruments. They will still work for a long time anyway just might be no new features for the windows users.

Just imagine how much better off we would all be if Apple (or at least, the Mac) had never existed, and there was no possibility of anybody removing a VST from the PC market and making it Mac only. What exactly does the Mac offer the world? Competition for PC makers, competition for Microsoft? LOL.

This is a big shame if tru, which appears likely...

...Camel Audio and Co. sold out...sold their souls no doubt, thought they had more gumption and balls than that, but that's business, it's all about the money and I had respect for them as individuals. More fool me!

I propose to make a poll with better wording and possibly a few more options. A poll to vote on:

I will not buy a Mac but will wait for Alchemy to also be released for Windows or buy an alternative VSTi to compensate for my loss.

Yes I will buy a Mac if alchemy 2 is released exclusively for that platform.

Are you selling? This isn't marketplace, but feel free to go there and give your selling price (not that I'm buying, myself, at least not now...)

What you pay for is what you get nothing more nothing less. Once you start thinking of it that way you wont throw a fit when big bad Apple swoops in grabs your favorite company.

Best wishes to all the Camel Audio guys, I would love for them to convince me to come over to the dark side.

PS don't come anywhere near my Omnisphere :hihi:
Don't worry, Spectrasonics might be next on their list. :hihi: :D
