Hi,
I am just thinking about buying TUBE ULTRAGAIN MIC200 http://www.behringer.com/MIC200/index.cfm?lang=ENG.
It works also like DI box, so you could connect guitar to it and connect MIC200 into line input.
And its pretty cheap, do you have any experiencies with it?

PS:
If you want record guitar in good quality, you cant connect it directly into line or mic input on your sound card, because you need input with high impedation. The solution is special instrument preamp or DI box. (but I am not profesional)
Behirnger MIC200 possible cheap guitar/mic recording

I got the mic100 which should be very similar (no preset knob, though).
good and cheap as a d.i.box.
the valve isn't a jewel but pumps things up pretty well & clearly, so it's also good and cheap as a mic preamp.
too bad there's no stereo version.
one thing...it gets HOT after a while...
