Sure that warm and cold are really personal and different for all of us.

Warmness for me is always coming from some tuning imperfection and detuning.
It's coming from the old analog osc instability.
Some synth makers try to add this behavier to the default and some others making a full linear
style. This is what separate some synths from other.

If you make a 2 osc detune in Zebra it's
almost instanly "warm", easy to hear the difference if you make the same 2 osc detune in a full linear
synth like Serum. In the linear synth you have to make 3 or 4 time more tuning imperfections
to get the relative same sound.

Yes Massive is really capable in both ways, but i am still happy i could reach some of these
colors with it.
If i say almost analog, i mean something like the pad coming in 2.30 here:

Thanks for all kind comment! :)

All that voice/formant stuff is rather un-analog in my view. But it sounds very nice. Just like the Fairlight made wonderful sounds...

I'm not sure it sounds analog per se. But that sounds very warm in deed, I think the sounds are beautifully crafted. :tu:

I think it's also a case of a very talented person applying their skills to a decent synth (it's not the best soft synth in the world). I think most people would struggle to get those sounds out of Massive.

What external FX were you using? If you don't mind me asking.
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

There is NO external fx on the demos, they are totally naked.
I like to show only the pure presets from the synth. This is what you'll get to play with.

Thank you Robomobius :)

Wow! That's fantastic... I don't buy presets too often, but I'll be buying these! :)

wow, excellent sounding patches!

I do find massive to be colder/more digital when sound designing than with something like z3ta+2 or dune. With a little effort it can sound quite warm and analogue, I've made a whole sound set based on analogue 80's sound, and people can't tell the difference from the real sounds. Just have to be familiar with massive I guess.

I picked up your library after hearing the demo a while back and I have to say great stuff. I always wrote off Massive as just a synth for dance stuff but clearly it can be so much more! Some really fantastic patches in here.

Really inspires me to work with the synth more, thank you :tu:

...and slowly more and more nice sounds was coming out of the synth.

Thank you Voice303! :)
