That site is one of the major definitive news sources for Apple news. *And* they post rumours, clearly marked as such. And it's in the first sentance of the link you posted, had you even bothered to read it. Hint: the word "news" comes in the list before the word "rumours"...
The info, and the evidence is established fact.
Believe what you want.

Macrumors:
"Apple appears to have acquired...Camel Audio"
"appears to have acquired" is not equal to "provably bought"...

The "facts" I referred to, (in addition to all the evidence that we previously saw that fitted the pattern exactly of an Apple acquisition, and the info that we had that Camel had been previously approached by Apple), is the latest *fact* that Camel Audio's business address is now Apple's main registered address in London.Tricky-Loops wrote:Do YOU even read what you call "facts"?

Whether rumor or fact, the news has spread fast.

"Don't believe everything written in media!"

But I don't have enough time to investigate in this case, unfortunately...
It's not rare that a company goes insolvent (because of different reasons), and asks another bigger company to be bought - but even in this case, it's not that the big evil Apple made a buy-out without the agreement of Ben just to grab the latest Alchemy technology...

for the price of a mac I can get both Native Instruments Komplete and Omnisphere and then I would never need alchemy. I am sure that NI and spectrasonics are seeing all this nonsense and thinking who will be the first to knock out a similar product to alchemy that one ups the boys and thus upsets the whole apple cart. Pun intended. I will never throw money away on a mac. It is overpriced and the software on PC's is far superior for audio now. I will always be able to find a better way to spend my money end of story.

This discussion is futile. There will be no Alchemy 2 PC and Alchemy 2 Mac.

On a related note, for the price of an entry model BMW 3 series I can get a Honda Civic loaded with aftermarket addons and a good audio system... When it comes time to trade them in I should get roughly the same return, I think.yessongs wrote:for the price of a mac I can get both Native Instruments Komplete and Omnisphere and then I would never need alchemy. I am super happy that Apple bought Camel Audio. Now their master plan of re-releasing Logic for PC can finally come to pass!
