I'm guessing that's why many people chose not to have them.

I don't have a cc, but do have the type linked to my current account for online purchases etc...

I have a dozen or so credit cards with an accumulated total balance of zero dollars. Just because you have excellent credit it doesn't mean you have to use it....or abuse it. In fact that's how you get excellent credit.........

Not arguing with you, just pointing out there are many people with cards in debt and many without cards in fear of getting in to debt because they don't have the obvious self control you appear to have.

It was a valid point from the get go, but thanks anyway.

And yes, I think silly too. Much easier for all concerned, apart for the self entitled 'I want it NOW generation', to put away a tenner a week until one can buy outright once and for all. I mean really, given the $99 figure, is ten weeks that much to go without?

I think OutCider is referring to debit card type of thing.

My cc's ... all three are always at a zero balance as well.

I am not sure if I have this right but I do believe that Kong Audio are, in fact, doing in house financing here.

Correct. Apart from mortgages, cars and women I've never got anything on credit.

Why don't developers offer payment in instalments?
