Absolutely. Glad you like them. Cracking tracks, all.

Now to get back to KVR's Talk Talk evangelism.

'My Bird Performs','Dear Madam Barnum', 'Rook', 'Then She Appeared', 'The Ugly Underneath' and 'Wrapper In Grey' - how can this be described as anything less than a classic?? :o :D :D

Fantastic stuff, glad I took your advice Phaedo... :D :D
Well, I'll just have to reconsider my opinion and put "Nonesuch" into my car CD wallet. I've got worse things to do with my time than reeexamine classic XTC albums. :D

Excellent. :D

The thing with Nonsvch is that there's so much of it. I mean, Omnibus is a cracking track, but it's so jolly you might just decide you'd rather cave your own head in than listen to it for another minute. If you played the following tracks

The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead
The Smartest Monkeys
The Disappointed
Crocodile
Omnibus
War Dance
Books are Burning

you'd think you were listening to an entirely different album* from the tracks listed by Trist.

*Actually, you'd think you were listening to Wasp Star.

I love Nonsvch to bits. It's hard to pick out the best bits, but Trist's list is a pretty good starting point. :D Anyone else here as big a fan of The Big Express as I am? I honestly think it's one of their best, but it seems amazingly unpopular. Possibly because it's so damn loud. Andy Partridge said of Big Express "Call me stupid, but these were good records. If you bastards don't want to buy 'em, what can I do? I had faith in my art."
