To make the question simple:
Is there something such as Ctulhu, Nora, BlueArp and other that actually can generate
random Arps, Sequences, Pharases e tc? Instead of Programming.
Thanks

I downloaded this but have no idea how to use it in Cubase. As a VST, it makes no sound on its own and it doesn't show up under the list of inserts to use on a VST track.
So I have no idea how to use it unless I have to do what I do with Reaktor's VSS sequencer and designate it as the input source for whatever synth I have in the VST chain that I want it to control.
I haven't tried that yet but maybe I will.
Oh, by the way, if you have Reaktor, VSS is amazing. You have to download the ensemble. Most powerful soft sequencer I have ever seen.

It doesn't make sound, it just produces midi information (similar to BlueArp, Cthulhu as per OP's question). Route it to a VST in your host. I've no idea how that is done in Cubase. It's free - nothing to lose

I figured it out. It's similar to VSS but you need to turn on monitoring for the synth it's feeding and you actually have to "play" the RandARP to get it to work.saintjohnbaxter wrote:It doesn't make sound, it just produces midi information (similar to BlueArp, Cthulhu as per OP's question). Interesting. The randomize, if used sparingly, can actually produce results that are musical and usable.

Thank you everyone, just downloaded the RandARP. What Ensemble is the VSS? Can't find it.

I downloaded VSS but haven't installed it yet; from the description and screenshot, it looks to be a sampling synth; are you sure it has an arp?wagtunes wrote: Oh, by the way, if you have Reaktor, VSS is amazing. You have to download the ensemble. Most powerful soft sequencer I have ever seen.

I actually found the VSS. It can do Sampling and its own Sounds but you can drive
another VST too. Too bad i can not Demo Nora's Randomizer.

Nora is capable of generating cool random Arp phrases, but not in real time.BasariStudios wrote:To make the question simple:

You wouldn't be programming though, well not in the sense of punching individual note values or phrases and preparation time takes seconds.
The C+B Generator seems ideal, first decide how many bars by first disabling the Automatic sequence length and drag the end cursor to the desired Bar length.
Lets say you pick 32 bars, then decide the parameters you want to affect in the C+B generator and hit randomize. In the blink of an eye you have 32 bars worth of random Arps phrases that can be triggered live.
Nora can come up with Arp phrases that sound both random and cohesive especially when macro's are enabled.
Completely randomized Arp phrases especially those that drastically alter rhythm usually sound too random for my taste.

a 32 Bar example using the C+B with Macros.
