Pun intended. I will never throw money away on a mac. It is overpriced and the software on PC's is far superior for audio now. I will always be able to find a better way to spend my money end of story.
On a related note, for the price of an entry model BMW 3 series I can get a Honda Civic loaded with aftermarket addons and a good audio system... When it comes time to trade them in I should get roughly the same return, I think.
Are you really trying to say that a Mac will hold its price better than software that can be legally sold on with no fee (Komplete Ultimate) you may want to rethink that haha

No I mean the hardware. Used macs historically go for a lot higher on the secondhand market than PCs. When you upgrade (and sell the old machine) the cost isn't remotely as high as people like to exaggerate.

This is what I call KRAPITALISM !

Take something good (e.g., most of the bands in the past) and run it straight into the ground, EVERY TIME!

Cut the quality AND raise the price!

If you can't build something better than the competition, then buy out the competition!

Monopolize everything not explicitly regulated!

Feed chemical krap to all of the people who can't afford an organic (whatever that means now) farm!

Turn the whole Earth into industrial krap!

Turn universities into businesses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I'm a fedexnman if you know what I mean ...So I use maps a lot , and Google maps on my android . I have friends that have iphone and a lot of times they can find a street on apple maps that I couldn't find on android google . we are talking about rural area streets and mainly new neighborhoods that are being built . So Apples maps have gotten better than google IMHO . What I don't like is everyone on iOS used to use google maps at one time . But no Apple maps for Android . Anyways ....Alchemy might be a better product under Apple , man I hated to say that ....ouch ...

After apple fixed maps it works better than the competition. I agree that third party windows audio software is superior in many cases, unfortunately the windows platform holds it back. It's hard to get anything done on windows. It takes 3 times as long and you have to do all kinds of work arounds and be willing to learn computer science. It's unfortunate, but that's your choice...an inclosed and monopolized system, or a cheaply built half assed one. Take your pick....don't throw linux in here because I'm not going to go searching for a download every time I want to do the most mundane tasks. That takes as long or longer than windows. I would love to go somewhere else. I'm not a fanboy. There just isn't a better option currently. Windows 10 already smells cheap. Why do they keep trying to imitate apple?

Gross. Not surprising, but gross. Congrats to Camel for selling their business, but I'll be removing everything Camel I have forever now. Sad, because Camelcrusher was a great plugin. Oh well

hahaha, what part mr. fedex? I thought I was agreeing with you.

I do agree with the Apple Maps part , but the computer science degree for a Windows DAW , I don't . Its all in good fun though . I have a Macbook Pro as well as an i7 PC I built with Windows7 . Its not hard to build a PC and follow a guide to tweak the system . You dont have to tweak the system ,but it dies imprive things a little . Yes, Apple works better out of the box , oh but don't forget to turn WiFi before you hit record though. lolz. Imho ,Apple needs to put more i7 s in there low end computers ex. Macmini , by the time and $$$ you spend on upgrading the ram , putting an SSD and a 7200 rpm HDD I. There you might as well build a PC , Oh also Apple needs to give it a break on a new version of OSX every 6 months , If Windows would of done this we'd all be running Windows 20+ or so ....

We agree for the most part. I would dearly love to switch to another DAW that is windows only, so it's frustrating. I have been using macs since 98 :O.

I tried using a pc for a few years during the vista and windows 7 time, but I couldn't get anything done. Nothing worked. It sucked. My wife is a certified pc microsoft expert so I get the windows stuff, but It's so GAWDd blessed time consuming and you never know if it's going to actually work. I'm not interested in fighting it out with my computer. I play a musical keyboard.

Melodramatic are we? The price on Logic has only gone down considerably since they were acquired. And universities already are businesses. How can they justify having to update a calculus book when there haven't been any major advancements in mathematics for quite some time now? Universities with sports teams also give away scholarships to morons because they're able to draw a crowd to events. How retarded is that?
