Those people who have all the soundbanks, I really hope you can sift through the drum presets and share the ones that can be used if you don't want to build from scratch.
It looks like the soundbanks for Rob Lee EDM #2 and #4 contain the most drum patches. I'm pretty sure those are all synthesized instead of sampled.

I own the Everything bundle and have been playing around with the Player to see what limitations it has. It looks like it imported all of the Everything bundle official soundbanks just fine, so if you purchase any of their official soundbanks it should work. Unfortunately it does not let me import any custom presets I made with the full version of Synthmaster.

I think the solution will have to be that those of us with full SM put together some drum patches for the community and then supply them to KV331 who will then be able to encode them into an official soundbank (smpb) specifically for this OSC. Otherwise I really don't know how anyone with the free player will be able to make drum sounds as it only lets you manipulate patches with easy controls instead of customizing them.

Does the demo let you access Online presets? that would be an easy way to share patches.

Well, I'm still acclimating to the Synth, Player, DAW (going to use Studio One for this one) etc. but I think I will attempt to create a couple of patches for percussion and share them depending on what turns up here in the next few days.

I was thinking of using the player for some "creative" percussion however if that fails I'm going to need some thumpin' and crashin' at some stage. Additionally I have just noticed that there are patches in the Full Player that are not included in the Factory set so, without assistance, I would have little chance of finding the ones that use samples as well (apart from the obvious title references).

Still determined to use the Player but, dang, starting to feel like a challenge now (rubs hands together :hyper: )

H-man thanks for checking and for your reply. I really like your suggestion and am all for it. It's a great idea and will solve many problems if kv331 would do such a nice thing. Just to clarify however, I was talking about sharing some of the presets that the full version has to use for the full version demo and not the full version player. The full version demo has 300 presets and next to nothing as far as usable drum sounds. With the full version (not player) it also comes with 800 presets which patches could be altered, ie switch an osc to noise to remove the sample etc. With all the other many soundbanks for the full version (not player) there should be more presets that could be used with the full version demo (not player) if someone could upload them so anyone with the demo of the full version (not player) could have atmost 15 minutes to arrange/tweak them stream. Cheers

It seems like it does, but am unsure how to download more from the web that way or how to access from a specific user.

There should be some cymbols, high-hats, and kicks in the online area under drums. I'll see if I can upload some presets there too.

Okay TJ, Player is locked for all intents and purposes as far as samples are concerned until someone finds another way (which may never happen).

Just to clarify back, I have the Full Standard Version of the Synth as well so I could use that to cook up some presets to share with users that have the Demo version.

Have created a couple of drum presets/mashups based on the DRHardcoreOnMW RL drum preset.

As far as I can see this preset does not use sfz or wav files.
Waveforms are allowed as far as I can tell.

1st one is using a waldorf pulse waveform.
2nd one is using an imported midi file for the arp (one of my own) and korg delta waveform.

Hope these are allowed and hope people can find a way of using them.

files on dropbox :

Let me know if these are ok, if not will delete the link etc.

thanks

Sweet! As far as the other presets from 3rd party banks are concerned, how do people think those are to be treated? Are they able to be shared? Maybe an exception just for this osc? H-man said the Rob banks have a lot of drums, maybe we should ask him if it's okay?

I'm pretty sure that 3rd party are fine as long as they are not "Commercial" banks. That has always been the way AFAIK. As to whether Oscers with the full "Everything Bundle" can share with others using the Demo ....hard to say but I'm guessing no would be the answer.

Probably need to seek a ruling from the boss on that one. :borg:

As far as I can tell user presets go under (for windows users) :

C:\User\My Documents\SynthMaster\Presets

pop the presets in their and see if they show up on the preset list/browser in synthmaster?

Yep, tried it and it worked. No sure how they get sorted or catagorised tho? I just searched for Spidergod and there they were. :tu:
