We need power PCs designed specifically for what we do. Low latency DAW work.

Let me know how these open letters should be modified to best fit our needs.

I was thinking about the need of pci 66Mhz and pci-X.
There are those boxes that connect via .. uh FW? USB2? that has pci-slots. Wouldnt that work? If i buy a new computer or motherboard, im sure i would want pci-x. For the future that is. That said, im not going to buy a new computer in at least a year probably.
Good letter!

By time the future comes, you will be looking for a new computer. The motherboards should have what works now for the existing DSP cards (Creamware/UAD/Powercore PCI). There won't be replacements for these for at least 2 more years maybe longer. The UAD is built for 66Mhz 32bit PCI and 33Mhz 32bit PCI. I think every other card is built for 33Mhz 32bit PCI 2.1.
