Hi Arto. Long time wanted to make such request. It would be cool if Kirnu would be not just work with incoming midi, but also be midi step sequenser itself, with Play bar etc. (i.e. generate notes). IMO it would be powerful combine.
I understand that this is a big change (maybe in V2 ?), but I would even be ready to pay for such an update.

Sounds interesting.
I'm curious how you would want Cream to generate notes.
Do you have any examples?

Just like all the other step sequencer plugins, like Thesys for example.
Interest in totality of great modulation capabilities of Cream with the ready note sequences, ie one preset in a such midi environment will be more self-sufficient.
In other words, create a unique melody and modulation configuration in a single preset.
Do not know how better to say.
But of course, with all this also save the current Cream FX ideology, ie switch to Sequencer mode by desired, optional.

Maybe you are thinking the same thing as me: It would be great if Cream could, in the sequencer, record midi input notes. here's how I see it: in sequence, have a record button and a "step mode" switch. lets say cream is running, on hold and is arpeggiating. you go into sequence, click records with the step switch set to "off". in "off" its in over-dub mode. so now you play notes on the midi keyboard and when you hit a note, where-ever the play head is, it will record that note into the sequencer. if the step switch is on. then it ignores the play head, records the note and moves to the next step. when the play head comes around again, it will play the notes that have been entered.

this way you can record in a sequence in real time and change it in real time. i am sure there are logistics that need to be sorted out with this and maybe it requires its own new tab.

This is how the Doepfer Schaltwerk works. this allows the real-time entering of notes that then play as a sequence as the thing is running. its great for dynamically changing the sequence in real time.

Hi Plexus, i understand, but no, i was no meant such ability (record incoming midi notes in step mode, as i realized from you message), ofcourse good thing too, but, standart step seq, where notes write by manually (which i meant) it much more simple for realisation, as i understand it.
But of course, the last word is for the programmer (because I am far from these nuances)
