Ruben from LD wrote himself here that most of the "caught in videos" stars own a legit copy of Sylenth1. The whole thing is a bit stupid and wrong IMO. Especially considering that the same guys executing a witchhunt here are surprisingly well informed about what's up in the warez scene.Dasheesh wrote:Business move, and a smart one. B-trance stars are only allowed to have cracked copies.
I swear every developer (looking at you Reveal) should put the owners name very neatly and tastefully somewhere one the face. Shaming is one of the best ways to call those bitches out.

Does it go dun, dundundun, dun, dundundun....does it make super saws? It's at risk. My guess is half the people using it are drugged up cracker kids. I have no idea why they would market to that crowd. Makes no sense.

I'm wondering what else is on that gear icon. Can't just be copy and paste, now, can it? Crack walnuts? Make coffee and toast? Must be something useful.

... ? That's just your personal assumption and totally incorrect. Lennard (yes...Lennard) didn't even hear of Hive until the past few weeks. I can assure you he has respect for Urs, but he's in no way the great inspirer for Lennard to start programming again.OutCider wrote:Sylenthers should remember to thank Urs for bringing about an end to Leonards years of product neglect.
User base repeated requests for mac 64 bit and general updates go by the wayside, yet one sylenth killer from U-he later and here we all are.
Some great respect (and/or commercial fear) for Hive being shown right there by lennar.

This is not a business move, we posted a statement to stop these 'news-sites' claiming to have found an Avicii or whatever artist using a cracked version of Sylenth1. These videos they refer to are from years ago...great journalism! The site posting this 'news' mailed us to request a reply and used only a part of it that was convenient for their story, even though we requested them not to post this.Dasheesh wrote:

These sites just want to post this 'news' to gain some online buzz. That's why we put a statement on our Facebook page.
We do search for artist that use Sylenth1 and don't own any legit copy of it, we deal with this on our terms and we don't feel the need to shame them online.

Am programming a patch on Sylenth (legal copy) as we speak. I don't know what you are planning for the future, but I am happy I bought that old synth, despite the warnings by some people

I don't own sylenth, I don't use sylenth. I don't listen to nor do I care what is happening in the edm dance scene. I have never heard of any of these guys but I guarantee you I've heard the trax before. I don't even need to hit the play button.Ruben(LD) wrote:This is not a business move, we posted a statement to stop these 'news-sites' claiming to have found an Avicii or whatever artist using a cracked version of Sylenth1. That being put out there the question has to be asked. If the kid had a license why was he using a crack version at all?
It seems as though you guys are taking a "lets work with the crackers instead of against them" approach because you don't know what else to do. I promise you, maybe 5-10% of those kids are going to buy your product. The ones that were going to buy it anyway no matter what. Those cracker heads are not standing for anything, nor are they accomplishing anything except driving developers to the ridiculous option of dongs. They will crack anything for anything...including freeware. WHY? For attention. They are desperate for attention. They can't help themselves. It's the only way anyone will pay attention to them.
I have no idea why any one would market themselves to that mess. I'll let you guys be though. I don't have anything against Lennard or sylenth. They are just in the middle of this mess. Doing what they can.

Can we focus on positive things for a change? Why does every Sylenth thread turn into a discussion on hacking and pricing?

Ouch, my neck. It gets tiring looking way up at that high horse.
