At least you can set midi learn on the "prev preset" and "next preset"...I have those mapped to buttons on my midi controller. At least with that I don't have to manually click it with the mouse like I do with the Arturia V-Collection plugins.jasinski wrote:No keyboard arrow key support for browsing presets.

good idea. I hardly ever use midi-learn. need to remember that as an option. Still doesn't explain why you can't do it with arrow keys

We should probably be posting suggestions for improvements here where KV is much more likely to actually read it:

Allowing you to use the arrow keys to navigate ought to be pretty easy to implement I'd think.

Mac's Magic Mouse or Track Pad have no scroll wheel. I agree with the sound being really nice, but I'm really frustrated creating patches......it's becoming not fun. I'm going to look around for a solution. Thanks.SoundGoddess wrote:@EDGEK8D ~ does your mouse have a scroll wheel? if you use that it will adjust by semitones.

On the magic mouse just move your finger up and down on it's surface and it changes the coarse tune as if it was a scroll wheel.

Is there an official bank for the "free player users" now?
If so, where to find it? Just checked the official page, nothing.

I emailed the bank to Bulent yesterday, haven't heard anything back yet. I'll post it here as soon as he gets back to me.

Sure, you can scroll up/down or hold the Shift key to do .1 fine adjustments. It's not ideal, but it could be worse. I definitely agree about the moderate frustration just trying to do the "default" thing you'd want to do in some cases.EDGEK8D wrote:Mac's Magic Mouse or Track Pad have no scroll wheel. One more patch I thought could be useful, if it could make the bank...

I actually *like* the Synthmaster UI. There are a couple of bits (like the tuning) that are annoying, but the whole thing has really been intuitive for me in a way Massive never was. Maybe the UI is crazy in the same way I am.
(my track is about half done and 25 instances so far!)
CPU USAGE TIP: If you go to "Settings" tab on the right you can set the default quality level. If you set it to "Preset" it lets each preset decide how much CPU it needs - most of them are set to "Draft" and that's fine.
I've found I like most of the sounds better in "Draft" mode, which is fortunate, because a few instances of "Good" and "Best" modes bring my CPU crashing to a halt.

Yes. I just built an i7 5930k system - first upgrade in 5.5 years. And guess what I've found... Some synths will use whatever CPU you throw at them, and ask for more - if you use the higher settings / oversampling... at low latency...
I love the UI - except the same weakness Alchemy has, that one tiny window at the top in which all parameter details are displayed. Ah well if the have a value pop up over each control you tweak, that would just get in the way.
Still, I love having a frickin EQ before the filter, in the Synth. This is the Mesa Mark series of synths
Some of the most useful "lo-fi" settings I've had the pleasure of tickling.
I chose Omnisphere over this synth when it first came out. No regrets, I just snagged this one up. We'll see if I upgrade to Omnisphere 2 (probably won't)

Just want to chime in... I also like the Synthmaster GUI just fine for most stuff. It is different than other synths because the synth engine is designed as such... but certain aspects could use for some serious reworking, namely: knob sensitivity and mod matrix; visual feedback is also sorely lacking (if not pretty animations, at least feedback which parameters have automation, how much). I envision Synthmaster V3 being the end-all-be-all of synths.
Unfortunately, I tried the draft/good/best modes and see no difference in CPU usage... they all just sound good!
