I have cubase, and I installed the update too. I accidentally installed it in the wrong folder. SO what I did was just drag and drop that in the old folder, overwriting everything. I know that's not ideal but it works great... albeit a few error message popups

Two quick questions about the full player:
Can I turn off/modify the arp?
Can I delete specific presets?

Yes

Can I delete specific presets?

I suppose you can delete individual factory and user presets, but you can't delete from preset banks.

Before I jumped into this month's OSC I was going thru Syntorial and yesterday I picked up a book called Power Tools for Synthesizer Programming (new edition just released last month). I'm going to focus on those for a little while and then make some more contributions after I've learned a bit more. The sound design process is starting to make more sense to me but I want to learn everything I can to eventually get to the point that I can replicate the sounds I hear. Then I can contribute specific sounds that people want to replicate

Okay, I really need some help.

I followed the instructions for installing the update. I get an invalid characters in license key file.'

I did a system restore but it didn't give me back my old license key file so I'm still without Synthmaster.

This will teach me not to mess with things.

Are you running PC or Mac? Did you just download version 2.6.21 from synthmaster.com? The license key will be included in the zip file.

in that synthmasterplaylicensekey.txt file there's a serial number and a key code. don't use both at the same time?

The code you're looking for has dashes in it on the SerialNumberSynthMasterPlayer= line. Use the same email listed under UserEmail= and it should allow you to download the preset bank.

Just checked, and there isn't an obvious way to turn off the Arp (probably player's design).

No, I have the full version. I've had it since 2013. I went to their site and entered in my email address and serial number and downloaded the update. I ran the update and then after trying to go into Cuabse, I got a pop up saying invalid characters in license.txt file. It's the file that came with the update and was automatically put in the KV331 folder when I ran the update.

Yeah I don't know how to do it in the player. Might not have that feature.

The license file should be named SynthMasterLicenseKey.txt not License.txt. At least on Windows, or are you on a Mac?
