The code you're looking for has dashes in it on the SerialNumberSynthMasterPlayer= line. Use the same email listed under UserEmail= and it should allow you to download the preset bank.
No, I have the full version. I've had it since 2013. I went to their site and entered in my email address and serial number and downloaded the update. I ran the update and then after trying to go into Cuabse, I got a pop up saying invalid characters in license.txt file. It's the file that came with the update and was automatically put in the KV331 folder when I ran the update.

I get this error:

I think I see the problem...delete the second nested KV331 Audio folder, then reinstall the update, but this time install it just to the Traditional folder instead of the KV331 Audio folder.

The license file should be named SynthMasterLicenseKey.txt not License.txt. At least on Windows, or are you on a Mac?

No, it's NOT the file name that's the problem. It's named right. It's something IN the file itself that, for whatever reason, the validation process doesn't like.

I am almost positive that this has something to do with them having to issue me a different serial number because, for whatever reason, my original one stopped working.

I think the problem is that the update installed to the wrong folder...check my previous reply.

All right. I tried the contact form. The email I sent to the address we last communicated through came back to me so I guess he doesn't have that one anymore.

Okay, after wracking my brains for an hour, I figured out what the problem was and how to fix it.

I fortunately kept a backup of my old system. I compared the old license file to the new one and they are significantly different. The biggest difference is that email address. The new file has the email address of the serial number that stopped working. The old file has the new email address after they issued me a new serial number.

So I am probably the only person with Synthmaster who is going to have this problem because I changed email addresses between serial numbers.

So any update I download from the site is going to have the old email address and thus won't work. So I have to keep a copy of my old license file and replace the new one with it after I install any updates unless they can somehow change my address in the license file to match the new registered email address I am using with the system. You would think it would automatically do that but apparently it doesn't. Any updates you download will contain your original email address even if you changed it after your initial install.

Now I have to let KV331 know this.

So did you end up getting up and running again with the latest version or did you revert to your backup files?

Just discovered something else. If you go to the contact form at their site and send them a message, you'll get an email back saying it could not be delivered. So I don't know what's going on with their support email right now. It appears to not be working.

It says 2.6.4.2 so I guess it's an older version but newer than the one I had.

Which is odd because I downloaded the latest update and installed it. But I guess using the old license file doesn't actually give me the latest EXE. Either that or the version I'm seeing is not the right one.

Don't know, don't care. As long as I have a working version I'm no worse off than I was before.

Maybe one day I'll figure out how to actually update this to the latest version.

I think the issue might be that you just have multiple copies installed and Cubase is just picking one of them...
