Not really. After this comp, I've been working on full time for the past 18 months or so, I'm planning on a major overhaul of VUMT. Then I want to do a more creative effects unit. There's a prototype already waiting for me :)

May I give you a tip? After the demise of Camel Audio, a successor of Camel Phat would be great!

just out of curiousity, exactly what is there to overhaul about a VU meter?
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

even more realistic needle behavior, GUI resizing + other usability features, maybe adding some PPM scales ...

...so in other words, going after PSP Audioware's money :-D

Nope, not at all. From what I gather from Tony's posts, he's working in a new engine. And this engine allows screen resizing and different GUI's (remember that the GUI's changed for SDRR?). So it's only natural to evolve and offer some presets/meter scale face-plates.

If somebody is after money, it's PSP Audioware with the second update to get closer to what zplane offers, with different "GUI" modes and now a third added meter. But then again, that's just me.

that wasn't meant to be taken so seriously...

Maybe I should log off of KVR for a while - certain things are really being taken down the wrong pipe as of late.

Compressors are the one thing I manage to keep to a minimum, but Klangelm is probably the one dev I'd be willing to be change my mind for.

"Hi all,
just saw this thread. Thank you all for your support. It's fantastic to see, that there's still the desire for new comps.
When I wrote about the new comp on KVR, beta was indeed running pretty smoothly. After being in use for a while in real world situations, I had to make some fundamental changes to extend the sonic range of the plugin. This has slowed down development a bit. But I am still targeting this March for a release.
