it will be nothing at all like anything you already have (its nothing at all like anything else anyway).
i would suggest when checking it out...try to watch a lot of different videos for it. some people will just make normal sounds with it (i dont know why, but they do)...but it really shines when making off the wall sounds. the sounds on the sonic charge website are particularly uninspired, they really screwed the pooch when deciding how to market this synth.
it has a unique sound, a unique gui, and a unique way of programming it. and the sound quality is excellent.
