Finally, I predicted it months ago, they are so predictable
Ingo must be jumping around with joy
I hope they include the white skin as well, I think anything except new patches should be free for all owners, not part of some paid add-on or whatever.
"Mousewheel support (if host supports it)"
That's cool, works like on Element and saves a lot of clicking
"All customers, who purchased Saurus1 between March 2015 and the release of Saurus2, will be able to upgrade to Saurus2 for free."
Does that mean the update is free for everyone who ever bought it or only those who bought it from March 2015 on?

Good to have options, so no hard men from Tone 2 will kick down your door and demand your money if you decide against upgrading...will be released within the next months. i think also the upgrade will cost and i think around 50 USD
Because the synth is not to expensive and normally they do the upgrade 50% off the normal price of the synth
149 Euro Electra 2 = Upgrade was 79 Euro

Is it because you were so annoyed that every time you want to toggle the LFO or Osc shape you have to click multiple times to cycle the shape to the one you want? So yeah if I want to compare 2 lfo or oscillator shapes adjacent then that can be lots of clicking. Stupid design. I think it might only be this way on a mac. I don't get it, they had perfectly working lfo/osc shape selectors in their older synths like electra, and the shape was automatable then too. They've gone backwards with their new synths, now the shape isn't visible to the DAW and is annoying to change.4damind wrote:Hmm... I remember that I bought Saurus but never used it again

If I remember the demo right, you can click on the desired shape LED instead of using the button...Echoes in the Attic wrote:Is it because you were so annoyed that every time you want to toggle the LFO or Osc shape you have to click multiple times to cycle the shape to the one you want? I'm not sure. I remember there was something with this Tone2 "pseudo-analog" sound I don't like. Maybe there was also a bit too much overlap with similar synth. But this synth was not expensive so I keep it in my plugin folder so I can say "I have one Tone2 plugin"Echoes in the Attic wrote:Is it because you were so annoyed that every time you want to toggle the LFO or Osc shape you have to click multiple times to cycle the shape to the one you want?4damind wrote:Hmm... But I don't think that I buy version 2 and cannot see the "must have" features. Instead I'm looking forward to the release of FXpansion Synth Squad 2... But this is a different topic

Only on PC. On mac (unless they've fixed it), you have to click the button. They said ti was a mac limitation. As if macs universally do not allow direct pushing of waveform shapes. Only toggle buttons.fluffy_little_something wrote:If I remember the demo right, you can click on the desired shape LED instead of using the button...Echoes in the Attic wrote:Is it because you were so annoyed that every time you want to toggle the LFO or Osc shape you have to click multiple times to cycle the shape to the one you want? EDIT: actually they have fixed it for V2. From the forum post:
"- Mac version now also supports waveform selection by clicking on diodes"
I'm glad they came to their senses about that.

Saurus is just about my favourite VA. It sounds legitimately analogue to me with great filters. It's so good I'm not sure I need a update.

Sounds like a .5 update rather than a paid version 2 update.
