I want to know more about this joystick that aMUSEd is talking about. I would love to have a joystick about the size of the ones used on RC plane radio transmitters just for X/Y use. The touch pad on my 61 SL is crap.
aMUSEd- please step forward and spill it. :hihi:

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

:borg: Awesome!

I'm thinking there should be a way of setting up an X/Y on iPad Lemur.

Simon- I was immediately interested in this plug after hearing your vid of strings to female voice (or was it ebow to voice?). That was amazing. A great example of two sounds that morph togther well.
Cello and female voice - that was one of the first combos I tried, each app that claims to do audio-morphing will shine on or fail at the combination of vocals and strings, Morph definitely shines in this area and it was the first WOW-effect I had with it.

Any chance of a resizable GUI ?
We won't be able to go vector soon, but I have a 144dpi GUI version in preparation, so at some point you'll be able to switch it larger, yes. It's pretty tiny on a 34" widescreen *grin*

I'll try to get hold of a copy and check out how the routing works.

Ah hah. Doesn't look like an option for me. I have a couple of Xbox controllers. Me thinks with some freeware, they might be worth a try. Would be cool in Alchemy too.

I usually whine about GUI size but surprizingly, it looks pretty useable on a 27" at 1920 x1080. Cool.

Oh, definitely. MORPH is here to stay, and it's going to evolve over time. Both Stephan and I *love* this thing. We already have a huge list of stuff we want in there. As you may or may not know, our DSP guy Stephan has been doing audio morphing algorithms since the late 80ies (then on SGI machines), and some of the things that resulted out of that research in the past are Prosoniq SonicWORX (which had a whole bunch of really far out morphing and cross-synthesis algorithms) and the Hartmann Neuron synth engine....both of which we now have in our portfolio :D

Please do email us your feature requests, tell us what you like, tell us what you feel could be improved, or show us what you've been creating with MORPH (or any of our plugins for that matter).

Jack, we've been investigating this. On our 2.2gHz i7 MBP it runs just fine. That said, we do have two or three other reports of unexpectedly high CPU load and would like to find out what's going to so we can improve this. Could you email us the info from your system profiler?

On a wild hunch -- are you using RME I/O? RME drivers are always rock solid but so far that's one commonality I've found between the systems where the CPU is complaining about having to do our math...

Yes it's perfect for this sort of thing, the joystick is better than game joysticks for music. The old Morph had NUKE support built in, the new one doesn't seem to unfortunately but I have a tool that converts NUKE USB data to midi cc so I can still use it that way.

Post

The NUKE support didn't combine with the framework we're using out of the box. If there's a lot of people that would like that being added back in we can have a look for a future version.

I'm not sure how many of us old Hartman Neuron users there are left, but it would be good to have it built in, I keep dreading the day when the NUKE4All driver stops working on Mac.

As I see that Synaptic is participating here I have a question that is a bit OT. Do you have plans to update any of the old Prosoniq freebies and small plugins like Northpole and PiWarp? They are still in my plugin folder and get regular use so it would be nice to see them updated on PC.

Weeeellll, we have a policy of not talking about unannounced products...so I can't really give you a reply to that.

I will however say that I was very recently amazed how good the filter in NORTHPOLE sounds, even though the DSP code has been around for a while...</hint mode>

PIWARP wasn't free, BTW. It was pretty cool, though...
