Ok, here is a little tune, 2.7MB, 2 minutes 50 seconds of weird parody brought on by.. well, beer.

www.woolyloach.com/empty/my_heartbreak.mp3

Caution ADULT LYRICS AND SUBJECT MATTER. And sucky vocals. And not the greatest mixing job, and I think the drums need work. Nevermind the bollocks, though. :P

My vocals processed via a Behringer Ultra-Voice, then PSP Mixpressor, then MFM, then SpinAudios 3D Delay. Bass/background synth Pentagon 1 through a PSP Mixpressor. Drum loops from Beta Monkey Music drum CDs. Lead synth z3ta+, just itself. Voxengo Soniformer and Elephant on the stereo buss, host is Tracktion. All on a Windows 2000 PC, CPU useage about 80% of my 2.53GHz P4.

Critiques welcome, as are comments. This is NOT a serious tune!

ok - first of all:

"we drank red wine all night" -

change it to "we drank merlot all night"

that'll make it a hit ;)

or, if you want to REALLY add a nice element to it (west coast style) "we drank night train all night"

east coast - "we drank mad dog all night"

-michael (recovering goth parodizer :P )

OOH! A BAT!!!!

Oki, vocal needs to come down an octave.. :-o

You need to replace the nice drum sounds with some piss poor 80s drum machine sounds (roland tr-505 is ideal :hihi: )

And where is the horrible chorused weeeeeeeezillly guitar sound?

cheeze synth solo is a touch of class though! :D

Hmm, I'm sure I have some crap samples from some ancient Roland.. or Casio. :-o

The only way the vocals come down an octave will involve a pitch shifter. :P

And I'm leaving it as "red wine", I've had too many hangovers on Mad Dog and Night Train to perform the lyrics.

As to the guitar.. well.. I tried to do it, but it tore itself out of my hands and locked itself to my guitar stand. I guess even a cheap Ibanez semihollow has its pride. :?

Hehehehe... I shouldn't be advocating this, but I shall; drink more beers :)

Listened with a smile, and loved that cheese synth solo here too.

Cool vox-work
