OK; I was planning to up some sound cloud examples, but my inbox is keeping me from doing that right now....here are some cool tricks you should check out:
1) feed a sinewave into one of the two inputs. Depending on settings, you can get a very smooth "fake filter" going when changing the sine's frequency
2) feed a square wave into one of the inputs. you can get a cool "fake sync" type of sound
3) use CLASSIC and set COMPLEXITY to minimum. This results in the amplitude envelope of one sound being applied to the other very organically. Good for processing stuff that you want to layer, as this way there'll be no "trails" in the gaps.
4) similarly, if you do that with two beats coming in, you'll get very cool cross-pumping (for lack of a better word) if you set the X/Y to be right in the middle
5) if you lower AMP SENSE while in INTERWEAVE, INTERWEAVE (LL) or TIGHT modes, and you've set up the X/Y to be purely A or purely B, you'll get an interesting loudness boost that's not quite compression or distortion. Good for gunshots and other stuff
6) in CLASSIC mode, if you set the MORPH INDEX to 0.85-0.99 (depending on the source), so "nearly at the target sound", you may get very interesting, chorus-esque results
7) set up two dual mono morphs between the same two sources, and pan the morphs hard left and hard right. Then have different MORPH index values for the two instances, and maybe automate them inversely, for nice stereo panning effects.

woodsdenis wrote: As an FYI in Studio One 2.6 I can't get the VST to work but the AU does.
Apparently, Studio One 2.6 is pretty smart and will recognize the sidechain of the VST -- hence using the dual mono setup won't work as it will expect a sidechain input for signal B, and using the L/R panned dual mono approach will send both to the A input. So for MORPH VST in Studio One 2.6, please use the sidechain setup method (by enabling the side chain in the plugin header, and setting the output of Track B to feed that sidechain).

Morphing some horror voices from one of my SoundPacks with a drone texture I made with Reaktor, this is a bit scary...and Morph rocks!

doubt it.. it's pace/ilok (w/hard drive auth option) so though i don't write code i can't imagine what kind of hoops they'd have to jump through to make it work on more than one dongle.. or if they'd just have to write a completely different version. shrug.

I too would purchase Morph 2 if eLicenser were an option.

Okay, I took the plunge and bought this. I'll mention again that it would be really nice if two installations were included so I could have this running on both my music DAW and my laptop. Just saying...

will these settings be included as presets in updates? I think it would be fantastic if there would be presets with some description attached to it (in a preset browser). This plug in is so versatile that it all depends on the two sources PLUS the settings, so if you don't have information attached to the presets, it's sometimes tough to find out what they are good for...
Btw, will there be more options to control the sound in the future, i.e. an 'advanced' mode?
And, maybe a stupid question: Would it be possible to give more control on independently affecting time domain information (rhythm/volume) and 'sound/tone'. (I hope this makes some sense: When playing around with the plug in, I very often found that the rhythmic material adds pulsating effects etc., but that there is also a change in sound/tone that I would love to control independently from the rhythmic 'imprint' this makes on the source material.)

oh wow. so that's not allowed????? that sucks.
it's 2015.. c'mon.. many people have two computers for music.. studio + playing live etc..
anyway.. that's a deal breaker for me. 2 installs or no thanks.

not sure you're familiar with how that works on PACE. you can transfer the activation to another machine very easily and quickly -- takes me around 30 seconds. it's drag-and-drop. Or you can use an iLok2 to make it 10 seconds...

#3,#4,#5 and #6 are already in the factory presets – I'm not near any MORPH system at the moment so I can't look up what they're called, but I'll do so when I get to the office.tq wrote: will these settings be included as presets in updates? There are no stupid questionstq wrote:And, maybe a stupid question: Would it be possible to give more control on independently affecting time domain information (rhythm/volume) and 'sound/tone'. Not with the current algorithms, but parametric cross-synthesis is something we have on our wish list. It's not quite clear yet how that could be integrated with the X/Y control paradigm, but amp/pitch/spectrum etc type a<->b controls would be cool.

Would definitely not work with two C/P schemes using one plugin binary, it'd have to be two separate plugs. Which means double the testing, double manuals, double code maintenance, double traffic, probably double the cost for C/P, double codes to be deployed, double SKUs in the shop.dayjob wrote: i can't imagine what kind of hoops they'd have to jump through to make it work on more than one dongle.. or if they'd just have to write a completely different version. shrug.
We'll have a look at what adding elicenser would mean for us, but it may not be feasible.

you can allow 2 installs w/in the pace environment. eventide does it.. even soundtoys freebie plug in that just came out allows it.. they'll allow it also on soundtoys 5 when that is available. i don't buy plug ins that don't allow me to install on both machines simultaneously. i often start things on the laptop and then move to the desktop.. or vice versa.zynaptiq wrote:not sure you're familiar with how that works on PACE. you can transfer the activation to another machine very easily and quickly -- takes me around 30 seconds. it's drag-and-drop. too cumbersome to deal w/haivng to bounce back and forth in iLok authorization app.

I made an extended audio version of this combo as I liked it quite a lot, some Replika delays are processing the output of Morph, the morphing and formant shifting was automated in LogicX.Sampleconstruct wrote:Morphing a harp phrase from my chamber music work Immanenz with an E-bow phrase from my sound library Granular Guitars (and vice versa).
