Perhaps it's his own shady history with cracks that makes him suspect the seller is up to something.
. The more you talk, the angrier you seem.

Im impressed that youve never made a mistake in your life time. How easy it must be to call everyone out on theirs from up there in your ivory tower.

Perhaps throwing a temper tantrum about other people having an opinion that you dont agree with is a waste of our time. Maybe you could stick with wasting your own by trying to think of some more "real real cool stuff" to say for us.

Hope you are having a nice day!

Tbh, there's a quite suspicious thread in the market place atm. Suspicious regarding that the poster already sold quite a few copies of the same software. Actually looking at it, it's always the same software he sells. Not sure if i should report it to the mods.

Dude says he wants to punch a guy in the mouth, and call the FBI, based on what ? Apparently selling the Mercury Bundle, because it's a high quality package, is reason enough to suspect he's selling a crack ? huh ? .... And he's only discounting it by a little more than 10% of the Waves price. Usually criminals selling stolen/illegal goods sell it for impossible-to-resist discounts. Not "hmm, if I'm patient I'll get it even cheaper during a sale" prices. By the same logic, anyone who sells a nice car is probably a car thief
OP is just letting of steam in fairness (I assume)...

But as the old saying goes, if it looks to good to be true then it probably is. Note: I use the word 'probably'.
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

I don't know why you'd care what they're doing if it doesn't effect you, but that's your business. But as to 'it doesn't affect you': NI does not use any mechanism to know how many installations you have. It used to be that if you did more than two you'd have to delete one and this was done by the user at their user account on their site. One of them would balk. I used to use three computers [recently-ish] and knowing my squalor I've prob'ly had four authorizations at some point [under the new ways]. No es problemas. It's basically an honor system today.

The 'bring your computer to my place to install it' is kinda obvious and it is an insult to the intelligence so the [figure of speech] "I wanted to punch him in the mouth" is not that exceptional I think. :)

I don't know how crackable is Waves, though. I mean that would even work. I can't imagine 6700 bucks for any kind of software in this market.

I'd also be sure to report your neighbors for underage drinking and smoking ganj. Heck, I'd say it's best to just join the FBI just to be sure. You might want to report me too, as I used to Borrow my cousin's adult magazines when I was fourteen.

Yeah i was 90% joking altho it doesnt sound like a bad trade for somebody selling stolen software. It was just a funny way of expressing my/our frustrations with the situation.

I would think anyone in their right mind would have a gripe with this. Especially those of us with this similar interest.

Anyway, it will be today when i can make a better judgement on the sellers intentions. If everything you own is behringer, and all of your mics are under $150, and your monitors are are of the $300 variety, and then you own the Mercury bundle...yeah that DOES raise some flags.

You have to be pretty dumb to spend $300 - $400 on monitors and $5,000 on software...add in the fact that "the software is best installed at his house" and the few exaggerations/lies ive found with him, yeah theres a legit gripe.

The thing is - i know better. I just dont want to see someone else get screwed, so sue me for caring.

No problem. Likewise, where would people like us be without busybodies. Thanks!

Waves plugs should be easy enough to verify. Waves keeps a pretty tight lid on their stuff, and if you can't open an account with WUP options, then you have your answer.

As far as going to the guy's home to load the software, two things: 1) Yes, loading the software directly is a bit dodgy, but 2) if you were going to commit fraud, would you show the victim where you live?

Just sayin'.

hehe, that's rich coming from the guy who wants to punch people in the mouth and report them to the FBI for having the nerve to sell Waves Mercury bundle.

Obvious ? what is obvious about it ? that a guy selling a software item (including all the potential pitfalls that come with electronic transfers) with a retail value of $7,600 wants to make sure the transaction goes through without any funny business ? Sorry to say, but having sold a single software license worth about $1.5k to an unknown party, I too went the extra mile or so to ensure the buyer was legit. Measures that went beyond what you might be accustomed to when buying Gforce Oddity v1 on the Kvr marketplace. If I had had the option to ask him to come to my house to pay/collect I would have done so. You guys can talk about obvious when you've bought/sold software worth this much money on the used market. Until then keep your threats of assault and reports to federal agencies to yourself - until such time that you witness an actual crime.

Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

How do you manage to keep track of that ?

Selling the same kind of goods, could mean he is a small third party seller.

I'm just thinking if there was any problems with the licenses sold, I guess users would let everybody else know about it
