You may have missed it but this isn't the only clue, there was context before we saw that, def. before I said that much. The guy already said he wasn't literally going to punch anybody, so why take it that way, unless you like to fight about basically nothing. Sense of humor... cost ya nothing.

Its not soo much the Waves that im interested in, but he does have some other stuff that seems a lot more realistice. Reaktor for example $100. This is the thing that im most interested in, so i kinda feel like a worm even talking about the Waves stuff, but again, i think its one thing to use cracks, its a whole other to rip the working man off.

Probably not right now you couldnt. Not as advertised anyway. You could wait for a sale and get it for $2300, but If i were a Merc owner, legit or otherwise, i would look for the lowest advertised price and stay a few hundred below that, so dude cant be too far off course right now.

Whoops. With NI, it's a unique serial tied to the account. As long as you're not sharing an account, I don't think that could be registered to two accounts at once.

As far as the OP buying Reaktor, the way to approach it is to pay through paypal which you can take back and have the guy show you the email where NI has deleted his SN. I have sold a number of NI items.

Havent had the energy to drop a reply on this but long story short he pulled the software from the table once i started asking questions about it, saying that "he thought he was just going to keep it".

He's changed his story on the stuff i was more aggressively interested in soooo many times, that i began to doubt everything that came out of his mouth.

This turns out to be a waste of time for anyone that takes interest in the ad. Especially his own. When you set unrealistic prices, you dont REALLY want to sell, and if you dont want to sell, whats the point of advertising.

As far as the OP buying Reaktor, the way to approach it is to pay through paypal which you can take back and have the guy show you the email where NI has deleted his SN.

His original add said that he wouldnt accept any form of online payment. After talking to him a couple of times, theres no question that the Waves stuff was a complete fallacy....Reactor and the others, who knows, but again if you dont want to sell, why advertise?

Insofar as being legit registered yes, that's how it is.
I don't know if the thing that's installed and working is going to quit working automatically. Once you're given up your serial number, you aren't going to enjoy the benefits of it, it could be on your system but updating it is impossible. However if the person selling to you has your name exactly as your NI account has it, they could authorize it anew as you, and the way NI quit enforcing new auths I don't think there is any mechanism for knowing the difference. It used to be two auths, and once exceeded, the latest one would quit. (You'd have to go delete one yourself.) That is def. not the case today.
