I´m thinking to buy ST2 or SS2 if it really covers the following feature: Is it possible to load a .wav file and play it in realtime over +-2 octaves without being changed the duration/speed of the played sample because of the (Time)-Stretch engine? And all this in a good quality (near the quality of the original sample)?
Thanks in advance
EDIT: No answer needed. Just saw that my OS doesn´t fulfill the specs (I´m on Win ME).

It depends on the type of sample.
STRETCH works best on monoaural monophonic samples.
Even still, +/- two octaves might sound smooth, but it probably won't sound "natural" because most acoustic instruments change their sound in more complex ways over such a large range.
Forever,
Kim.

SampleTank 2 would be the choice for that purpose.
Stretch can do that better than most but it is still a science of hit and miss. It sometimes does miracles but not always.
Get a new faster computer with an updated OS so you can use all of this great stuff! Or not.
Hope that answers the no need to answer questions.

There are rumors that when buying ST2 you´ll get a new computer as add on ...Squids wrote:SampleTank 2 would be the choice for that purpose.
