Ben H wrote:You know what else I hate? Keys.

Car keys, house keys... any keys really... because you can lose them... or forget them.

And well, let's face it... we should just be able to leave our houses and cars unlocked without fear of people breaking into them and stealing them... or stuff in them.

Think I'm going to stop using cars now... and ditch my house for a cardboard box.
This argument doesn't hold. ILok is used so nobody can steel from zynaptics, NOT to prevent to steel from ME, whereas keys prevents anybody steeling from me...
However, I find neither iLok, nor Codemeter, nor eLC cumbersome, they all work perfectly for me.

And zynaptics is very helpful, too. Thanks Denis!

Neon Breath wrote:Some of you probably remember the old Prosoniq Morph plugin. I really think there’s still a big gap to fill in term of real audio morphing tool in the plugin realm (I’m not referring to a vocoder here). The old Prosoniq Morph was pretty clunky to use and the results were very mediocre in term of audio quality, near unusable. I'm really looking forward to this one!

A real-time demo of Zynaptiq's new version of Morph, the audio-morphing software formerly put out by Prosoniq, which Zynaptiq recently acquired.

What do you guys think? Could this be the one that we, the poor non-Kyma users, can finally have for true real-time sound morphing?

Looks great.
I'll be getting it as soon as I can.

Strangely, I thought I'd stumbled into one of the other hundred ilok ''for and against'' threads which are repeated ad nausem to nobody's benefit or satisfaction.

It almost amounts to trolling.

If you don't like something, don't buy it.
If you're happy to use it, use it.
Simple.

But don't ruin someone else's (very good) product thread with repetitive arguments from 2008.

OK, listen up. I'm going to ignore any PR-best-practices recommendations and be direct about this. You can rant about PACE however much you want, but if you imply that WE are "punishing our customers", you're crossing a line. Your opinion is one thing, your preferences are another, and I'm not going to argue with those – but dissing us because of your personal dislikes is inappropriate. If you want to insult me, that's fine, but please be respectful enough to do so in person 8)

Also, you don't NEED an iLok. You can activate a machine.

Now, no need to get upset. But it is still undeniable fact that PACE/iLok is the worst form of DRM available. Not only do they have a long history of f**kups they are an additional hassle for customers who have paid money for their products. And I think it's great that they have gone software only (surely because otherwise they would be at competitive disadvantage). But it is still the most customer unfriendly form of DRM as it puts paying customer at the mercy of external parties. If iLok works, it's not that bad (except that it constantly runs on your computer's memory and takes up additional resources), but if something happens then this is the worst thing that can happen and you are royally screwed. Not only does it result in a lot of wasted time, it often also results in concrete monetary loss for people who depend on it. CP should 100% absolutely never interfere with anyone using their paid for software and PACE/iLok has a pretty bad record on that.

There are plenty of great companies that seems to manage to have both - great products and support and a customer friendly form of CP. Image-Line, Fabfilter, PSP, Camel Audio (formerly), u-he come immediately to mind.
You've made your negative views abundantly clear. Why don't you give it a rest and shut the f-ck up about PACE?

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Exactly. People want to read about/discuss the software of this topic. Not your religious views about iLok.
My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

From the posts of this thread I can only conclude that you're probably one of those pro corporate climate science and evolution denying dimwits who in his free time campaigns against consumer freedoms and rights thinking giving companies free hand in everything somehow benefits you.

Like someone above said, PACE/iLok is an integral part of the product so any criticism of it is completely valid. I'm sure people deciding to go with PACE knew how this will end. So *you* shut the f**ck up.

See, I can be unpolite too, if I want to.

Even though it's free I need to complain: why no access via Internet??? Damn zynaptics! What a ripoff...

Please go back to your roots and develop amazing things like Morph!!

Working on the next two things as we speak :D

If it works out as intended, we may be showing them at Musikmesse. Where we'll be serving excellent single malt scotch and espresso like every year.

So how many instances of this could one expect to run on a high powered system? I can only get three going along with various synths and other stuff before my CPU red lines. Is this one of those plugins that runs best a certain buffer settings? Either way it is pretty fun on drums and stuff. Gonna play with some vocals in a bit.
