160-185, but I'll usually hang around 110-145. Satan instructed me to write a song at 666 bpm, but being the lazy bum I am, I still haven't finished it.

if measured in a non chronotrope incompetent state the heartbeat of a average human beast is showed in an electrocardiogram somewhere in-between this and that

we are still investigating if there is any connection between sexual activity - hypnosis - drumbeat - and heartbeat :D if there is, it is our (me and my split personality's) ultimate goal to bring about orgasms by mere rhythm.

A new tune with you singing would be okay too though ;)

i'm most comfortable in the downtempo range 80 - 95, but have done some perkier numbers as high as 120 - 130.

when I get busy and have a lot of things to do or get physically active, jogging or doing yardwork, etc., i find that i've been tending to hum in my head the perkier tunes and I assume that's some sort of heartbeat matching, nervous energy thing.

the lush trippy stuff stays downtempo.
I think Daniel's new BnB2 bank 1st preset 'slow groove' is bpm 70 and that sounded so good to me, I'm thinking of dropping down from my previous low of 80 to 70.

mostly around 100 when the project is a song (maybe because this is the default setting in Sonar :-o  )

often around 140 when it is an electro / instrumental track (FL default setting... :-o :-o  )

140-160 is fine when you want to make downtempo tracks, building a subjective tempo of 70-80 that allows some faster parts.

i also love the 'none tempo' attitude for my atonalish experiments.

don't tell me it brings about orgasms - i might not ever sing again - don't tell me it brings about orgasms - thats just not a healthy plan - i`m busy on some fancy painting - i`m busy on some jolly book -
but 12 a clock it finds me fainting - and my alarm clock finds a dirty look - i`m busy on some stupid scripting - and some other onerous tasks - cracking 128 bit crypting - and all the questions people ask -
stuck inside a trafic jam - all i could be - all i am
i sing solfeggio to myself - failing myself like someone else - and every month is like a day - and every day moves like a minute - i fear to dream to my dismay - and wake to find my poor self in it

or so - anyway - is there anyone around who has a link to some scientific prove telling us if it's realy true we get in a trance if the drumbeat goes synchronic with the heartbeat :?

I tend to find myself working in two rather tight BPM ranges: 88-96 for trip-hop type stuff, and 124-130 for dance music. Both are more or less typical for their genres, but I usually find myself uncomfortable at other speeds.

I will also slow down or speed up my sequencer to fit the recording of a certain part when my skills are lacking, which is very often indeed.

If I had to pick just one it would have to 136.735 (obviously!) but mainly 128-142. :) I have (many)'just started' projects between 85-155.

Also halfway through a metal piece for comp (may never get submitted though  ) that's at 100bpm but played double time, only way I could get my head round the drums. :?

80-90bpm. Not too slow, but slow enough that I can go double time on some parts (especially the drums). Yeehaaar horsey! :D
Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.
