Have you ever paid money for a plugin made in SE?

Yes and I'm very happy about it!

No, and I would not. The SE label scares me off.

if ever you want any of my stuff just ask.

Cheers mate - I will, whenever I'm familiar with my "new, old" host (Cubase that is). Should arrive next week and I need to get familiar with it for quite some reasons (teaching, x-platform compatibility, etc.).
Most VSTis based on some MIDI processing (other than just playing them with plain MIDI notes that is) won't work with Logic anyways.

If a synth makes the sound you want what difference does it make how the synth was produced, after all it is very easy to make a very poor synth in synthedit, but it is still possible to make a very high quality synth with patience, care and an understanding of the principals in sound synthesis.

If somebody does produce a high quality synth in synth edit then it is just as worthy as a synth produced by programming from scratch in C++. There might be a performance loss in terms of it not being so carefully or tightly optimised, but synthedit's specifications should allow the production of very high quality output.

I use synthedit and hope to be able to sell (for a small price) some of my synths, I am already giing some away free - there is a link in another post on the forum. Those I have released as free synths have received a postitve response so surely it must be possible to create good synths in synth edit.

I certainly try the synths I can and I have come across many as good as any other commercial VSTIs.
Have a better one - Saul Cross :-)

It would be nice to have SynthEdit at least 2x oversampled. Digital filters sound mouch better when oversampled, and bandlimited distortion would be possible. I'm not saying it's not possible to oversample individual SDK modules (coz I did oversample some) but ask every DSP guy and he will answer you that at least 2x oversampling is healthy.
I was wondering if it would be technically possible to add upsample and downsample modules (by Jeff) and the modules between them to run oversampled.
