Inserting a chord: Click on a field of the chord progression row and then click on one of the chord buttons. But probably I don't understand you correctly here, because when you say that there are already existing ones then you obviously created a progression already

Shifting existing chord progressions left/right: No, this isn't implemented yet. But it is high on my list!

) tired so I'd like to change for ex. a 12345 progression to a 162345 one, what/which is the easiest way to do it?

So you want to shift the chords 2345 to the right and then insert a 6 at the position where you used the 2 in the original progression?
1---2---3---4---5--- would become 1---6---2---3---4---5---?
Well, I think it would be best to clear the whole progression and start from scratch then.
Hmmm.. yes, you are right: This would be easier to handle with a shift left/right feature. Maybe even with a selection focus where you can shift only parts of the progression. I will think about this for a while.

P.S.: Changing 1---2---3---4---5-- to 1-6-2---3---4---5-- would be easy of course

Not yet. I'm working a crazy 18 hours per day schedule this week to make a deadline. I probably won't have time until Saturday night to touch anything. I did play around with the older version though, and I like it!

Lots of considerations involved for the dev I'm sure.
But for the user is this always better for this kind of software?
Advantages?
Any tradeoff worth consideration?

I've always used standalone for composer aids so that's why I'm asking.

It probably depends on the user, but for me I always prefer vst just for ease of integration. Not having to fiddle with virtual midi and being able to either drop it in front of a synth or just route it internally is always faster and easier IMHO. Plus it allows you to save state with a project

Just a quick note: If there were an additional VST version, the standalone version would still live on of course!

But seems like it would help with limitations of standalones.
