Glad to hear the tiny resolution thing wasn't just me. I thought I was doing something wrong.
I don't get izotope anymore. It's like they're actively trying to fail. Are they owned by akai?

Is there anybody out there? Hello, iZotope, Brad, can you hear me? Hello? We're now in April and nothing has happened, no bug-fixes, no news, no updates, nothing, nada, niente, rien. Hello, iZotope, can you hear me, Brad, hello, are you there, is anybody reading this, hello...hello...hell.hel...he...hhhh...

It isn't even just the lack of updates. They could at least stay in communication with their disgruntled user base and tell them what the current status is. That would go a long way towards maintaining goodwill.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

They got a 10/10 review in Computer Music so clearly there must be nothing whatsoever wrong with Iris 2. It is perfect as it stands and any remaining bugs are, in fact, features.

Ja dutch is good!!Sampleconstruct wrote:Don't be sorry to be dutch, be proud to be dutchBen84 wrote:Stable was not the right word, sorry, I'm dutch
But iZotope Iris 2, no updates, no communication, no bugs away, not good.
I think though real Bugs are good, they are useful in the Nature of things...
Bugs in Software a tired term that encourages species category prejudice, how would you like it if bugs started saying "there's humans in my computer program" everytime there was a problem. Hey developer I've got a human in my software, hello hello where are you? Humans I say! can't get any work done! Where are the human fixers? Bugs then no it's a sad state of affairs! We need a new term,, hmm, virtual bent nails? bits of digital filth... slipshod workmanship? you sold us a factory second, when we paid for top quality...digital cul de sacs....tears in the digital thinking cap... those digital bolts are loose.

I really WANT to love this product, but I can't stand the way they have treated V2. Version 1 was/still is awesome, but V2 has been left neglected, with numerous outstanding issues and bugs.Sampleconstruct wrote:Is there anybody out there? Hello, iZotope, Brad, can you hear me? Given this, and the silence from iZotope, I really don't think they even have much interest in their own product.
My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

They didn't finish the update to V2, releasing it too early..Ben H wrote:I really WANT to love this product, but I can't stand the way they have treated V2.Sampleconstruct wrote:Is there anybody out there? I think economics pushes the issue too much in many fields of human endeavour, when things don't work, don't get done, fall apart, those that have the money and the oversight, have been too greedy, ignorant of the issue, the matter of what they are dealing with..yet some(wrong)how they have been given the job of oversight!

But who thinks any of these reviews have any real world relevance anymore. I see 10/10 everywhere these days, the whole rating system seems totally deranged, not only in the KVR review section.lnikj wrote:They got a 10/10 review in Computer Music so clearly there must be nothing whatsoever wrong with Iris 2. Nobody except Izotope in this case I suspect. AFAIR Ozone 6 got 10/10 too!Sampleconstruct wrote:But who thinks any of these reviews have any real world relevance anymore. Yeah, the author probably received 2 NFRs and a bottle of champaign for it.lnikj wrote:Nobody except Izotope in this case I suspect. Well, imagine nobody buys Iris2 due to bad reviews. There definitely wont be any chance for bugs getting fixed, without anything to gain concerning customer reputation. As a buyer, I'd be pissed. Man, I am.

To be fair, for £129 (current offer) Ozone 6.1 is very good value - an amazing mastering suit for the money...I would give it 10/10 for value at that price.lnikj wrote:Nobody except Izotope in this case I suspect. Same with IRIS 2 - if you had never seen 1 and just came in on 2 its a lot of synth with 11Gig of content...It works....it just isn't what (1) users wanted....
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Iris 2 is now half price. It looks quite interesting but there seems to be a lot of negatives about it as well, and about Izotope in general.
re Iris 2 in particular - can you layer samples at different rates/lengths? I am thinking of say a rhythmic sample of 4 'beats' layered 4 times so that they all play at the same pitch but one lasts for 2 secs, another for 3 secs etc etc
