'obsessing over tone in avoidance of creating music' strikes me as so KVR and synthesizer/produca oriented. There are people that care a whole lot about how good their synth browser is set up and that's their thing, browsing presets, collecting synths, whatever. What that has to do with the price of tea in China I don't know.rp314 wrote:do bothJJBiener wrote:I find a lot of people who obsess over tone use it as a way of avoiding the hard work of creating music.
those who are highly devoted to their craft seem to manage to pursue the holy grail of perfecting their sound without sacrificing what for some of us might seem to be more important elements of making music.
It's an unnecessary dichotomy.
