Hi there,

(and hi again (edit, name was wrong:) vurt :D ), just wanted to say a big big thank you to Scot Solida here. Having not seen him in my life (living in humble Germany), only on pictures :D, he is one of those persons (as many many of you will know, I'm just another one now :D ) who really take so many people further in their way of making music. It's just the wonderful side of music that is connected to someone like Scot, I think, so I have to tell this here  . To me he was the man who got me to Massiva around some 18 months years ago, as I read a review after many that finally was a review I ever had looked for. Precise, written by someone who is a musician and loves music, knows anything that might be important and is a rare enough person to share this all. So I read a Massiva-review and bought the program unseen, and now there's EnergyXT as my host :D . Couldn't have been better.
Then I discovered Scot Solida participates at Computermusic-mag, and from that time on I am a subscriber to that wonderful magazine. Listen to the sounds which come with the latest CM75... Already ready for musicians who own Kontakt or Reason, and with DS404-patches, and the wav-files for your fun and enjoyment... It's all a matter of taste, but I had looked for a piano sound like BABYG for years...Last night I played with that until I fell over :-), 4 am... And this is only ONE sound of ONE CD, and there are around 30 more alone on that one...

Well and there's a little more private story too which I won't tell here as it's of no importance to others, (but surely many will have their own like that) I just have to say a big big thanks to Scot Solida 8) for all that he's doing. It's simply unbelievable. Those rare persons like him lead anyone to enjoying music even more, and what more could be said  .

Had to say this. All the best,

Georg

yep, as much as I like his music and tracking down those seemingly obscure bands he mentions, he is fabulously gifted with prose. I love reading his articles and postings..who else could make 'the smell of a hot soldering iron' sound like such a wonderful thing? :hihi:

Hey, can I join the Scot Solida fan club too? He spent lots of time helping me (via chat groups and e-mail) so I could catch some clue of how to do computer composing/recording. Looks like I am not the only one he has helped.

And strangely the man has been an inspiration, even when we hardly communicate.

Okay, that's about enough of this sort of propaganda! I happen to know the guy personally, and he is an utter heathen! He farts in public places and leaves the toilet seat up in the bathroom... He forces his family to partake in generic foodstuffs just so he can buy expensive gear with which to document his daily bitching (thinly disguised as some sort of sci-fi drama)

But, if you insist on patting him on his rather voluminous back, then...thanks. You guys have made my day, and I haven't even had my first cup of (generic) coffee...

He's a folder in most synths' presets. Look around, you'll find him. :-D

My Tassman and MMV are more valuable thanks to Scot. Be he human or folder.

I know that. He calls the modular the 'big fella'. Not like I haven't heard him say it enough. :) Hearing it, its aptly name, that's for sure as well as its physical girth.
