Theres a windows binary so you just need to drop your audio files in the Loops folder once youve unzipped the downloadaMUSEd wrote:Cool, I'll check out the update. I meant the desktop version as well though:jc_vt wrote:Not the latest version...

who wants to go through all that just to get it to load audio files?Libraries
Libsndfile is used for loading .aiff and .wav files
NOTE: when installing libsndfile, you will need to first run ./configure, then run make, then (IMPORTANT) run sudo make install. The sudo is necessary to give you root priviledges for the install, and you will need to enter your system password. The libsndfile documentation does not make this clear. If you do not do all of these steps, the library will not install correctly and you will receive errors ("cannot find SndFile.h," for example) when compiling Borderlands.
RtAudio is used for real-time audio I/O

Actually there doesn't seem to be a Mac version for download. I thought there was.

there isn't a mac binary ... but you can compile your own, and you can contact the dev if you need help doing this. apparently.aMUSEd wrote:Actually there doesn't seem to be a Mac version for download. I thought there was.

Just compiled it on OS X and it works well! It's a nice tool, but the key commands are in a text file so have to exit the program each time to learn a new action.
Edit: O to exit full screen and enter window mode.

this looks really interesting. unfortunately i cant get any sound out of it (using the windows binary version). documentation is cryptic at best.
do i need the libsndfile thing? if i do its not working...did i install it correctly? i have no idea seeing as how the instructions dont match whats in the folder.
do i need the rtaudio thing? there seems to not be any way to install it...it looks to be for linux.
did i just not have enough coffee today?

The iOS version is fantastic now that you can load your own samples easily.

And record live input straight from the mic too! I'm having a lot of fun with that.aMUSEd wrote:The iOS version is fantastic now that you can load your own samples easily.
