I trigger with CV synthsizers and samplers, it is really interesting instead always the same guitare sounds...
Especially without any distortion it can be a wide field of creative fun.

I think it's a way for guitarists to share general knowledge of guitar recording be it hardware or software.
I believe guitarists are the hardest bunch to introduce new things to. We can be quite the purists so something non-vintage or sim that dares to say they can emulate that "classic" sound is blasphemy.
I'm find some of the hexaphonic pickups very interesting in conjunction with midi.

We guitarists sure are hard to please sometimes. lol. Purists is right.
Thanks for the section though KVR. Very kind of you. It amazes me that those who don't play guitar or bass would complain about this. There are a billion synth sections on boards all over the net. Some for guitar/bass too, but they're mostly mixed. So it's nice to be recognized.
I'm 46 and have been playing guitar/bass and other stringed instruments for 32 years now, so I certainly come from a purist background. I started recording at the age of 15 on a SONY 8-track machine and moved on through the years. DAT recorders came into the picture in the 90s for me and in 1999 I finally went PC digital.
I am now predominantly DI, aside from guitar and bass sometimes, where I will mic amps. So software is big for me. It took a lot of years to get to that point, but things have come so far in that area that for me it's inevitable.
I sure can relate to the pain of having to go software and digital though. Even after many years of recording I had no clue what I was doing back in 1999. It's amazing what 15 years of OCD recording, mixing and mastering will do though.

Anyone seen this new upcoming Aly James Lab virtual effect pedal?
It seems a pretty original and expressive effect!
Funky sounding too

Yeah, it sounds right for clean-to-crunch stuff. Its weak point is high gain zone which it can hardly ever enter imho. Apples and oranges, as always...

I just finished making a few patches in Revalver 4 that sound like My Bloody Valentine. I was just messing around but I'm thinking of doing something complete with this later. The patches are at http://peavey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=41258 .It's recorded L side /R-side no compression. center guitar compressed in MJUC. There is a brickwall limiter but that's it it's all me tweaking the insides of revalver 4. https://soundcloud.com/spacekid1-1/mybloodydesktop
