If that's the best you can come up with then I guess this conversation is over.

Have a nice day.

Also, after having researched Rapture, the synth hasn't been updated in 8 years. If I'm going to get something that old it better blow me away sound wise.

Also, I looked for the back issue of CM that gave away Rapture and it's no longer available. Certainly not at 5 euro. I've seen some back issues of CM for between $25 and $35.

But none of this is the point. Rapture just doesn't give me anything that I don't already have in Serum and better.
http://fi.zinio.com/www/browse/issue.js ... =true&pss= There's your cm 200 (ok the page is Finnish but zinio should have english too).

Serum doesn't do everything rapture does. Or does serum have dedicated lfo, stepsequencer and multipoint envelope that can make like hour long envelopes for pitch, filters, resonance, pan and amp? Or does it have 6 layers? That's 42 dedicated lfo's, stepsequencers and envelopes.

Rapture sure is old but it's total gold. Of course I'd love to see it updated to this year but it really works now too :)

And please forgive me my facepalm. I feel slight frustration sometimes

Thanks for the link. That is something to consider. I'll try to find an English one and bookmark it.

To quote myself from page 21, 24 March 2015

"You can pick up Rapture for the cost of a back issue 200 of Computer Music. http://www.musicradar.com/computermusic ... 014-590566"

Yes, I know, but that's just the article about the issue itself. I tried finding the actual link to buy the issue from that article and couldn't. So I gave up.

Did you read the article at all? Even someone like me who is wearing glasses is able to find it right at the start (of the article):

Rapture is a nice synth, especially for free (I paid much more for it), and it even has free drawable and editable envelopes!

Yes, there are 4 links. I don't have an iPad/iPhone. I hate Google and will never buy anything from them. I went to the print edition link and couldn't find the actual issue. it just takes you to a generic link. Same with Zinio. You have to do a search to find the issue itself.

Bottom line: I can't find it.

I was given a direct link to the issue in Finnish. Since I can't read it, I'd prefer to get an English version so I know exactly what I'm spending and on what.

If this was that important to me, yes, I'd probably spend the time to look for the actual buy links. Since it's not that important to me, I'm not wasting my time.

If somebody wants to give me a direct link to the issue itself in English, I'll consider getting it. I've already wasted more time than I wanted to trying to find it on my own.

** EDIT ** I just went to Zinio again and did a search for Computer Music 200. Zero results. So I just searched Computer Music. It came up with the most recent 4 or 5 issues and that's it. I can't find a back issues section.

if you can't get it in english, why not just buy the finnish version. since you are only getting it for the software, which is more than covered by the price of entry, it is still worth doing

i did the same thing, buying a german magazine, in order to get ddmf 'the strip'. would have been good to find someone who could enjoy the magazine, but it didn't work out that way

I can't get you the english link to zinio since it autoroutes me to finnish site -_- Anyways, even though the page is in Finnish, the magazine itself is in English. But AFAIK the english zinio site is the same as finnish and there should be a button labeled "show more".

If it doesn't take you to the correct place, try copying and pasting the address instead of clicking.

Okay, I finally found the February 2014 issue. I had to click on show more. Now, if I buy this issue, how exactly do I get the software? How does the process work?

From cmvault. Sign in there, then add the mag to your library (few questions about what's the topic in page x etc), then you should be able to download the magware. If you decide to get it, I also recommend in downloading the whole cm vsti pack. There's some nice fx, dune 1 cm and awesome cableguys curve 2.5cm etc. In case you find any value in those ofc :P
