VST chainers are popping up there and there. They are really cool if you are after different sort of sound weirdness/experiments. Moreover, no more mess in a DAW mixer! But I was really impressed with the new addition to the Melda family plugins - MXXX. This chainer connects all the Melda plugins together. Yes, it can't load custom plugins, but unlike any other chainer, this can modulate its internal effects' parameters. Something that doesn't exist in those chainers that house 3rd party plugins (unless I missed something). Don't know what price to expect yet, but I'm intrigued.

It also adds feedbackloops, multiple feedbackloops if you so wish.

And crazy possibilities with a sidechainsignal, give a granulator module a certain probability to pick each grain from the sidechaininput instead of the main input for instance. And offcourse you can modulate and automate that probability.

And offcourse you can modulate the modulators and modulate a modulating modulator by the modulated modulator and/or a modulator modulated by it and and and... :wheee:

I'm somewhat tipsy now, sorry for anything that ended up not making much sense at all. :ud:

Be careful when you modulate the modulated modulators, offcourse...errr...offshore it could also create hurricanes!

Are you missing one from Igro or one from MeldaProd? MXXX is still in beta, I'm sure we'll see a video or two or three from MeldaProduction sometime soon-ish after it's fully officially out.

Nice.

Looks nice! Melda really goes the extra mile with their plugins, the amount of control is always impressive. The GUI still hurts my eye. :D
Anyways, this might go past PatchWork in my shopping list!

Same here, wish he would finally employ a a good GUI designer, but at first look it seems like something that combines Patchwork and MB7 mixer and some more, so it is definitely interesting.
But on the homepage it says only available for Mtotal Bundle and nothing about VST hosting. Hope that changes for the final release...

yes, that's somehow a bummer. Would be cool if it would be sold separately.

Hmm, right, only within the bundle... But I think that Melda could set a balanced price for a standalone version. I believe it won't be low anyway as he still wishes to sell separate plugins.

I'm sure that U-he's Uhbik will be implemented the same way in the near future too.

Is MXXX still in development? I haven't heard anything about it in ages. I even made quite a few presets for it but never received any notes about recent updates to it.

I really hope it gets released because it is exceptionally inspiring to use and so deep that it completely blows my mind!

EDIT: Just checked the website. Yeah seems like it's still being worked on. Have to contact Vojtech and see how far it has come. Probably need to re-do all them presets anyhow.

I'm trying the demo. It can work as a synth too? There are building blocks...

Me too - it's potentially a great swiss-army knife - can be pressed into use as a solution for almost any audio-processing problem you might come across. The only problem I remember was that there was so much one could do that it was hard to stop adding extra features to presets. Certainly that's what happened to my Autowah preset :help: Last I heard he was waiting for MPowerSynth to get out of the door completely first, so I reckon MXXX's time may be nigh.

When talking about chainers, I'm always surprised to see how few people have heard of Vstforx which is the most advanced chainer in my point of view and one of the cheapest!
