Melda MXXX (or the year of chainers)

Yup, Vstforx is a really interesting way of chaining plugins and I wish it a bright future. I've been following the updates for more than a year now and still hope the 64-bit version will load 32-bit plugins soon:
"64-bit support: A 64-bit version of VSTForx would be able to load 32-bit and 64-bit plugins."
"64-bit support: A 64-bit version of VSTForx would be able to load 32-bit and 64-bit plugins."
The more I hang around at KVR the less music I make.

you missed something.Igro wrote:unlike any other chainer, this can modulate its internal effects' parameters. Something that doesn't exist in those chainers that house 3rd party plugins (unless I missed something).
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

I thought it would be good if you could use it with 3rd party plug ins.

enlighten me then. Hope you are not referring to a host automation.whyterabbyt wrote:you missed something.Igro wrote:unlike any other chainer, this can modulate its internal effects' parameters. Something that doesn't exist in those chainers that house 3rd party plugins (unless I missed something).

Vstforx does this, in fact you can chain many parameters of many vst(i)s to the same modulation. it can go much complicated from there even. you can also save your creations as presets.Igro wrote:enlighten me then. You are right, I think it's because most of the UI element alignment issues are fixed and they've done away with the atrocious colors (well, except for the green)kuzami wrote:I find this better looking than the other Melda plugins. Idk why.

Nomad Factory's MAGMA has been able to do this (and much more) for years.Igro wrote:but unlike any other chainer, this can modulate its internal effects' parameters. Something that doesn't exist in those chainers that house 3rd party plugins (unless I missed something).
Many seem to miss this cool feature of MAGMA.
Granted, it's a little bit hidden, and also not advertised well by NF.

+1. I have the Mixing bundle and it would be great to see a version there...thecontrolcentre wrote:I hope Vojtech add a version of MXXX to the other Melda bundles. I have the Creative Bundle, and this would be a great addition.

You can directly access and modulate all params in Usine too.

I was just looking at Magma from this perspective. All Nomad Factory would need is to expand their grid framework somewhat, add a feedback capability, a band splitter, some MS/LR converters and a few other utilities and it would give MXXX a serious run for its money. It looks to me like NF is 90% of the way there to having a serious MXXX competitor.Novalis wrote: Nomad Factory's MAGMA has been able to do this (and much more) for years.

Unless Melda prices MXXX aggressively (something I believe they are not inclined to do), Magma could be the new best seller super effect.
