Remembering the good ol' Synthedit days... but hey, I know those knobs. They're from Largo.

Here is the Nave main page using the big skin (pcture uses the original resolution created fro ma Full HD display):

The values of the faders (envelopes and mixer) are displayed when clicking on them or changing the value.

The entries of the mixer:
- Wave 1 : wavetable oscilator 1
- Wave 2 : wavetable oscillator 2 (settings displayed by switching the tab at the upper left of the GUI)
- W1*W2 : Ring modulation of wavetable oscillators 1 + 2
- Osc : VA oscillator (settings at "Oscillator" below the wavetable osc controls, includingg the "Überwave" feature)
- Osc*W1 : Ring modulation of Wavetable 1 oscilator and the VA oscillator
- Master : Master level (if necessary additional gain with up to +24 dB available in the System menu)

This is the WAVE page with the editor (could be zoomed and rotated):

This is the WAVE page with the Partials dispaly and a part of te wavetable marked for editing (editing the partials level in this case):

Changes (amount at the left) are applied to the part marked in white color. "Partials" (below the display) changes the range for the partials and "Position" (right of the display) the selection of waveforms in the table.
It is also possible to only edit a single waveform and/or a single partial in the table.

With the red marker below the display (or teh waveform selection at the main page) the display wil shift the curent waveform to the front:

So devs should be able to reduce their development costs accordingly, at least on Windows.
Windows surface pro ships, since version 1, with the same version of windows 8 as regular pc's.

I had beta tested Waldorf Nave for long time now and I say, the GUI is not a joke but very nice to see. Very clear to make sounds.
The estimated release was for MusikMesse ;) so this week very possible.
You can run Nave in many parts of your tracks because it consume very low CPU Power. Not a CPU hog ;)

I want public beta and beta activation code now! :P

Post

I suspect that release is indeed imminent. No point publicly putting up an installer on the product page just for beta testers. Also no point feeding out a release candidate to reupload the final release version shortly after given that there isn't even licenses being distributed for it yet.

My suspicion is that Nave RC5 is the final release version and the setup in that download is the public release build. I'd bet licenses will be on sale very shortly.

You are probably correct. I do also understand the meaning of "release candidate". I just want to try it now ;-). I don't want to wait until wednesday :-D

I'm interested in it too and also hope it comes out on Wednesday!

I do not think it will come out during everyone from Waldorf is at Musikmesse so it will hardly be in this week but let's see...

Release the beta serial please. We won't tell anyone. On scouts honor! :hihi:

Post

It's not a serial but activation code for E-Licenser System !
I'm very happy when they release it as serial only protection but no it's only E-Licenser System.
The only negativ point on this release :(

You'll need an eLicenser code that's valid only once per user, therefore, even if Ingo would want to do that (which he won't, of course) it would not be possible. But release date is coming very soon, and I bet there will be many details published during this week
