Thanks, but i get an error 404 on the first link. The download link works, and from there, you can click on evaluate from the menu right.

And wow @ 100 hours and 100 days of usage for the demo. :tu:

Do i need a dongle for the demo? No evaluation possible... "no valid license found or Nave not activated".

Yes - all their plugins apart from WE use e-licenser.

It uses a software E-licenser, so no dongle required.

That's good to know, is that different from Largo etc or can they be soft licensed too now?

Largo and PPG can be soft licensed as well.

Did you request an evluation license or did you to try to use it use it without?

The download is identical for the full version, Beta version and demo, just the licenses are different.

Should be possible to use this with both the USB eLicenser and soft eLicenser (while i am always using the USB dongle here without problems since several years).

I any case you will have to install the latest eLicenser software (installer for taht should be included with the Nave installer). The license also has to be activated which usually is the only time when you need an internet connection to use it (at least it is like taht wit hthe USB dongle).
Another advantage of the dongle is that you could do the activation procedure on another computer and then move the dongle to your production computer.

Latest eLicenser software is available here:

This is from the Steinberg website about how to install license with the a soft eLicenser :

You still need to transfer it on the USB licenser though... at least afaik.

Aaargh, you're (almost) right. Just checked the Steinborgs:

"Der Lizenz-Transfer in die andere Richtung - vom USB-eLicenser zum Soft-eLicenser - ist leider nicht möglich. Sobald eine Lizenz auf einen USB-eLicenser übertragen wurde, gibt es für sie keinen Weg mehr zurück auf die Festplatte. Das bedeutet, dass der USB-eLicenser mit der übertragenen Lizenz grunsätzlich angeschlossen sein muss, um das entsprechende Programm nutzen zu können. "

UPDATE:
This is written in the Readme file that is provided with the Nave installer:
The “eLicenser Control Center” installation will start automatically after Nave has been installed. You can deselect this option in the following dialogs, but it is recommended to run it even if an eLicenser is already installed, as it will update the eLicenser database.

You can choose if you want to store the license on a USB dongle or your hard disk. The license can be transferred from disk to a dongle or vice versa afterwards.

If you use the disk drive for storing the license, please be aware that formatting or damaging of the drive can cause permanent loss of your license. It is good practice to move your license to a USB dongle before intentional erasure of your hard drive.

After installation, please open the “eLicenser Control Center” Application and enter the activation code for Nave.

Please keep a copy of the activation code together with a proof of purchase for the unlikely case your license gets lost.

Slighlty off-topic, but...

...now I understand why there are 3 or 4 Largo for sale in the Market Place :) And I have been resisting grabbing one of them. Should I just wait and get Nave?
I mean Largo goes for about 80Euro/90USD in the Market Place now, about half of what Nave will cost!
What do you guys think?

Not sure if they may share similar DSP code for certain modules, but nonetheless they are really quite different in design. Largo is awesome, pick it up! Definitely don't hold off because Nave will fill the same gap.
