i think about offering a set with non-fx´d beatboxes, and one with fx.
Further on i plan to do some loops as well, live-beatboxed ones and programmed one with the kit.

haha .. i hope to keep the promise, time is rather rare at the moment.

@Putte:
How long have you been practising this er... this talent of yours?-)

I've been thinking of getting a new hobby and I'm considering beatboxing - really :D

Just wondering how long I've to practise until I get some results..

Funny stuff, Putte. Want some dry versions!

Anyways, in case someone want's a bit of material to fool around with while waiting for Putte's set, here's two leftovers of a singer I've just been recording with, completely dry and uneffected, work's fine in any sort of beat slicer:

anoke .. thanks for listening .. :)

its a long story actually, and the short version goes like this:

when i was about 8 or 9 i heard my very first sampled breakbeat in the kitchen´s radio. (i HATE that i never knew what it was, as it wasnt a hit at that time). from that day on i was addicted to rhythm, and started making those typical sounds when one tries to simulate drums with his mouth. (know what i mean?)

I thought i did that pretty good, until later on an older dude coming from a bigger german city laughed at me and said: "pfff .. it goes like this: *imagine real human beatboxing here*)

And i was like .. :o :-o and even :shock:

i was about 12 at that time, and from then on i started practising .. each and every day. Hmm .. i think it really needs some time, and you should do it wherever and whenever you can. (like an automatism)

It´s a pitty that my skills didnt really improve over the last years, as i only do it when i play with edgar meanwhile, and sometimes when i do guitar jams with tobi. But the very best thing is just doing it live, over a good soundsystem .. fat basses, sharp hihats, thick snares .. :lol: .. and edgar playing with me .. :love:

cheers,
putte
