Sound Designer Question About Dune 2 Wavetables

This is something I just thought about now and I want to make sure this isn't going to be a problem. So I hope Mark Holt himself will respond to this thread.
Mark has made a number of WT files available for Dune 2 free. I have downloaded 3 different sets off the Synapse site. At least I think it was the Synapse site. Not sure. It could have been here.
Anyway, if I create a patch using one of those WT files...
1) Will the patch still work if the end user didn't download those particular WT files himself?
2) If not, can I include those WT files in my library download?
3) If not, does that mean I have to redesign those patches using my own custom made WT files?
I just don't want to get into any legal and/or end-user operation problems.
Any feedback on this issue will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Ask for permission from the author to re-distribute the WT. If you plan on using them in patches intended for commercial release then I assume some deal should be made with the author.

It'll be my pleasure Mark. In fact, I'll send you the whole library when it's completed.cytospur wrote:Feel free to use them for commercial patches

Thanks. It's going to take a while to get this done. Being able to program down to the voice level has turned this into a complex lab experiment. Plus, I'm trying to get away from the traditional EDM sounds so that makes this an additional challenge as the synth naturally wants to go into that area.cytospur wrote:Awesome. I may start posting demos as I go because the process is turning out to be a very slow one.
