bought the pack and im a bit confused with the sorting, i expected categories like BASS etc.

Hi Caine Thank you for buying the pack - unfortunately, due to the very nature of it, a classic sorting was not possible, they are mostly atmospheric sounds anyway... please do feel free to contact me at macnight@inwind.it and I'll be very glad to help you find the sounds you're looking for. Which sounds are you referring to particularly? The bass? Which others?

Bass: SimpSeq4 (Basic)

Sequence: SimpSeq3 (Basic)

Drums: Zapper02 (Percussive) / VideoDrums (Percussive) / PacificRim (Percussive) / NoisyHH (Percussive)

Others: Indeed (Plucked) / HeartWaves (Atmo01) / LossSimple (Atmo02) / PianAmp (Plucked) / BontAccomp (Basic)

In general, if it is a plucked sound, you will find it in Plucked, if it is a simple sound, it's likely to be in Basic, if it is a lush, evolving sound, it's likely to be in one of the Atmo folders. I hope this helps

I must say these sound good but I've always found the descriptions on the Tone2 site of what Nemesis can do to be vague and 'marketing BSish' to say the least, I can't seem to find any clear description of what 'NeoFM" actually is other than superlatives. It's on sale at the moment so I might be interested if someone can explain what is so revolutionary about this as opposed to other Fm synths.

I couldn't explain that myself, actually, except that it sounds better to my ears than other fm synths (but this might fall into the realm of personal taste). However, neofm is just one of many types of synthesis this instrument is capable of (22, if I remember correctly, and each patch can use two different types simultaneously), so I think you shouldn't really focus on that one only. The point is, it sounds great and it's highly inspirational, so if you like the sounds, just get it and enjoy it When you get to know it (it takes a little while to figure it out, as all Tone2 synths, but it's worth it), you can keep creating sounds for a very long time before you get tired of it (after three nemesis-only albums and using it in innumerable tracks, I still haven't).
