A quick comment on the UI. I agree that it would be nice if there was a slightly smaller version. Even on my 23" at 1920x1080 it takes up a lot of screen real estate. However, that said, the UI is beautiful!
Everything is so clean and crisp. Nice job, Dmitry.

Oh dear... yummy. My first thought was: I don't need this, got too many multi-fx already. Then I started playing with it. Great sound, love the distortions, wonderful, freaky filter options (the ring mod is awesome, the pitch shift... woah). Easy-peasy modulations, gorgeous interface, inspiring as hell. Aw well, there goes my resolve not to buy anything except the Komplete Upgrade this year.
I was hoping for a re-vamped Big Seq, but Audio Damage seems to have gone the hardware route recently; thanks for filling in, Dmitry.
Great job!

medium to hi, if Camelspace uses 1% then Tantra is in the 15-22 % bracket as measured on S OneNumanoid wrote:Some quick questions:
-CPU usage?
-What is the copy protection?
-Can it be resold, in case what is the fee, and does it become NFR?
Looks like a serial no ( when I finally get one ) not Dmitry fault btw
No Idea you need to ask him.

Congrats on launch Dmitry!
For those of you who like chaos.. you can use the sequencers to modulate sequencer length
If a synth needs a little movement, add sequences with odd and different lengths and then apply them to different parameters.
It's kind of crazy that you can take a simple sawtooth saw and have it run without any melody and then mess around in Tantra and get something completely different
. Take a dull drum loop and have it go through the presets ... Im really thrilled! I made a couple of presets with different "side chains" and a couple of rhythmic hihat making patches. Adding the noise parameter modulated by a transientic pattern.
And yes, the GUI is fabulous!

The cpu usage is a bit high. I don't entirely trust Logic's cpu meter, but that said, it still seems kinda bad.
I'm playing with an 8-bar pad loop I created using AIR's Hybrid 3. The cpu usage with Trantra deactivated is negligible .. maybe 5-10%. With Trantra active, it jumps up to .. between 50% to 75%.
I could make a quick video of this if anyone would find it useful.

That's what I've found too. Would be nice if the CPU were not as high.Naenyn wrote:The cpu usage is a bit high. I don't entirely trust Logic's cpu meter, but that said, it still seems kinda bad.

Machine dependant of course but on my rig ( see spec below) it uses approx 20% of one core , if you have Sigmund it comparable CPU wise.Naenyn wrote:The cpu usage is a bit high. I don't entirely trust Logic's cpu meter, but that said, it still seems kinda bad.

I agree the GUI looks very nice. I haven't downloaded it yet.The demo track sounds good but I am getting the impression that the output is always similar. Are you finding the range of effects you can get from it to be limited?

I'm about halfway through the second bank of factory presets using a pad sound. Liking this a lot. I just want to be inspired. Getting ready to see how shareit treats me in just a moment.

The entire transaction from the Sches page --> Paypal --> Registration number took about 45 seconds. That was as pain-free as any transaction I've done. Digital River seems to be reliable for me. Now to authorize and continue the exploration...

As a desktop user, I find the GUI size to be perfect. I hope you all get things sorted for laptop users. The interface looks great for certain. Nice work Mr. Sches.

returning to this, i don't think it is such a bad option. while tabbed interfaces aren't always positively received, the inclusion of the full interface as one of the tabs gives people the optionsches wrote:Thanks for your interest!
Yes, I know about issue when GUI does not fit the screen with 900 and less pixels in height. I've been thinking about different solutions, one of which was a special tab-bar for selecting different views, like on the screenshot below:
But I didn't like such a bit messy solution. I'll think out something more consistent
also, you may have missed the post, but the plug can be manipulated to fit within logic by collapsing the plugin frame. this doesn't solve the issue for other hosts though

Ended up purchasing after playing with the demo for a while. I still have some reservations about cpu performance, but I noticed for some reason that the cpu hit seemed to decrease after time. Doesn't make sense, usually it's the other way around. I blame Logic's sketchy cpu meter.
Anyway, great plugin! Many of the presets provide great instant inspiration and the plugin is easy to use.
Some things that I think could be improved:

Some things that I think could be improved:
- cpu optimization
- drag or drag/drop modulation
- visual feedback on which modulation source is doing the modulating without having to right-click
- visual indicator of which modulation sources are in use
- color code the modulation sources
- alternate smaller U
- Only display modules that are active
- one tab per module
