My first post is actually a question:

I´cant find a working link for cubasis inwired( my niece spends every free minute in my studio and is know putting togheter one herself) I thought it wold be great for getting her started, since she already is somewhat familiarized with cubase sx. Has cubasis inwired been removed for download? I find lot´s of links to it, but there all emptpy. Any other other options for free vst suporting seuqencers any one can sugest will be apreciated also. Help me out, otherwise she will have to wait until cristmas if I have to buy her Cubasis, and she´s desperate to let her talent explote.
cheers magic

These links do not seem to work anymore. I made myself a search some time ago and couldn't find a working link. :(
Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.

npe, i did not know you can´t save....I´ll try the link anyway and check out inwired anyway, if I can render to wav or so it may be googd enough for a little while(...until x-mas. ha ha
wow, thanks, mainly for the super fast response, I thought I´d have to check mi mail in the next days to see any responses, truly a warm welcome

As far as I remember, Cubasis Inwired was meant for on-line collaboration, right?

Welcome to Kvr :)

As far as I remember, you can't export to WAV neather. I is just a demo of the real thing.
If you want a tempory solution have a look at
www.digitalsoundplanet.com
They have a freeware Quartz audio master, 4 audios tracks and 16 midi tracks, fully functional.

wow, even more feedback, and my coffe is still warm...
Quartz is already installed, but she keeps nagging about using synth1, and Quartz don´t support vst.
If we can render using a plugin like chanelgraber or so to import loops ands samples to Quartz or other software, it still looks like the best option for now.
And it is suposed to be for evaluation and leraning for the moment, so not too tragic.
thanx everyone, i´ll get n'ther cup of coffe while feedback keeps rooling in...

You could install Midi yoke and console.
Then use one of the midi yoke ports as midi out.
In console (wich is a VST & Vsti host) you can load your plugins, connect them to standard wav output and record in Quartz.

The only free host worth a damn is the version of Muzys that came *cough* free with Computer Music magazine. Unfortunately, it has no audio support

I think Steinberg's cubasis vst and tracktion are probably the best of the low cost hosts.

both will give you audio and vsti support.

cubasis vst pros and cons
it's based on the old cubase code = good.
ships with a bunch of pretty good plugins
limited fx inserts in mixer
limited no. of vstis loaded

tracktion pros and cons
single screen interface
flexible routing
no limits on fx/instruments etc
audio capabilities just as good as cubasis
could take a wee while to get your head around
midi editor leaves a lot to be desired.

Ja, by the way this is litlle of topic but still relevant and interesting for those who don't know:
In my search for an alternative solution I found a little precious gem called "renoise". If you like trakers, htis one has full vst suport and is awsome (superquality). free version is fully functional xcept for ASIO support and rendering (does save, plugins parameters inclusive). Registering is not expensive, gets you into the forum and above all I say totaly worhtwhile.

Can ya help me out here, I have midi yoke installed, but I´m not sure if it's installed properly or I just can't get the hang of it. Shoul :?: d midiyoke ports show in your app's midi port dialog box?

Post

Yes, they should show up as normal midi ports

Post

What are they named ( Like yoke1 and so, or...)
