so, this is going to make me sound like an idiot (maybe) buuut...
ive been in contact with a label about releasing some of my music, they seem interested. anyway i just got this msg from them:
"when you get closer to being ready to release it shoot me a pack to check out...so far I'd say it sounds like it would fit well on [label name retracted]"
sooo...what exactly do they want? is a "pack" a specific set of things? or can i just send over the links to the tracks and artwork and such?

Could be that they want the file zipped.
If you send them a link, that would mean the track is already published, and not so interesting for them.

ah, it could be as simple as that...ok.
as for links...a link doesnt really have anything to do with published or not. they could be sitting in a private folder on my own site. regardless...the tracks theyve already heard have been through soundcloud anyway, which doesnt seem to bother them.
so its not some kind of a term for something specific then?
