It's not released yet.
It's still a Release Candidate, although that implies it's close to release.
I would only really expect bugfixes now, rather than features at this point.
For what it's worth - works fine for me. Think I had some niggly little things in Beta 2 or 3, but I forgot to post them as bugs so can't complain if they're still in it. Wasn't anything that stopped me creating though - I think I had to bridge one of my plugins, which I never seem to have much trouble doing. I know others do, but that's not my experience with the FLS bridger/wrapper thing.

Well, I AM a customer. I moved from Windows to Mac a couple years after buying FL Studio Producer. I have always liked it for its sounds and unique qualities, but I never learned to use it. I kept following the development and then figured it was irrelevant to me upon moving to Mac. Lo and behold, Image-Line announced that they were investigating porting to the Mac platform and I saw hope of getting some use out of my purchase of FLS some day.elassi wrote:This should end all whining - in a normal world.murnau wrote:You all are not even customers
But this is KVR...
I wish other software companies had the same philosophy of free core system updates in perpetuity. Instead, most of the software industry has chosen to rape its own customers by repeatedly demanding a re-purchase just to get access to bug fixes. In some cases, the user can just stop upgrading if the core product is stable enough for their uses, but then they're screwed on hardware and OS compatibility when the rest of the industry forces them to upgrade every little thing because one thing somewhere failed or had to be upgraded.

^ same above situation. I actually got into music on my pc when I was a kid when I purchased FL studio. When I started to meet people who made music they all used Ableton so I switched when I got serious. Haven't used FL since version 9 and now I own a mac and just eagerly await a day they release a mac version. I don't demand it and nor do I bitch about it, I think its great that IL is trying to expand to apple OS however I hope they take there time and do it right, as they seem they want to, wether that day is a few months away or a few years away, it will come.
Also congrats to IL on making FL 12 it looks fantastic!

How deplaced is to rant about something you don't even spent a cent for? And even better coming here to this thread and dare to make such a pathetic comment like thomni? How plain stupid is that?
Those people lost every humility. If you paid and they stopped to support your OS you can bitch. If you try out something for free and it's not yet what you expected you can stfu.
LOL
I have a producer license for FL so you can fro
There was never a "buy once upgrade forever" on Logic. Anyone who bought that, like any other software, knew full well it's not guaranteed to be developed forever. Should I go cry because I bought a Windows XP license back in the day? Or could I go turn on my old machine and use XP today if I really wanted?
Am I whining and crying and tearing my hair out because I chose a mac and so far FL hasn't put out anything I can ACTUALLY use? No, but I still voice my support in hopes they add it to 12 like they said they were going to.
"don't even spend a cent for" - what a f--kin comment yourself!
$300+ for FL producer + Drummaxx + Gross Beat, none of which I can use on mac without issue. So pardon me if I do want to see more come my way.

Thats another pathetic, ridiculous comment. You paid software for PC and thats what IL delivered. Now, you jolly moved to mac and expect that the dev have to release mac version because you bought his win only software?thomni wrote:LOL![]()

Even better brining up another stupid Logic example which makes no sense in this context except that it take your own arguments against IL ad absurdum.
Where have you bought a mac license for FL Studio? You bought windows software and it is your decision if you move to another OS. No dev must follow you so you can count yourself lucky that IL working on it optionally and not charge you again like other devs. And you try to make them looking lame here meanwhile the globalplayer apple is your friend?
I see that here other mac users understand that they paid for win version back then and they patiently awaiting the mac version but it seems for you it must be to hard to grasp. thomni is exactly one of the mac crybabies i meant. Keep blaming yourself!

Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

I think "don't even spend a cent for" is about other OS version. Nobody can buy other OS version of FL. If you didn't buy the product you won't be able to ask support. It's clearly simple.

Breaking the emerging trend on piling on IL... just a workflow question.
Is there any way to save vsti presets in a way that FL Studio can search for them in the browser? The best implementation of this I know is studio one, where you can assign a shortcut. Very useful for taking snapshots while sound design. I couldn't replicate this in reaper, though. Wish FL had it, but I don't know it very well, so it might.

When you save a .fst it's added in plugin presets/Generators/"name of you plugin"urlwolf wrote:Breaking the emerging trend on piling on IL... just a workflow question.

You can browse Desktop with the browser, not sure how else it's done,
prolly writing over your plug's defaults.
I'm so back on the Fruity wagon now.
This UI has made it feel totally different for me.
I'm having trouble importing Flowstone schematics though. Some menu bugs and consistently flawed UI elements ie.
my plug's drawings don't show.

On a side note:
There once was a joke in the IL forums about Chuck Norris updating to "FLStudio for MacOs". It came up because it has been requested more than a thousand times and Gol replied as often: "There will never be a version for MacOs."
But I'm with you guys that want to end this unfruitful debate and keep on discussing the new version.

To be fair, when I was saying that, Macs weren't x86's yet, they were PowerPC's. And Delphi had zero support for anything but Windows.elassi wrote:and Gol replied as often: "There will never be a version for MacOs."
Delphi changed, Macs changed. Who would have bet on Macs becoming normal PC's?
NOW.. if Apple, following its usual stragegy of f**king all programmers, announces that they ditch x64's in favor of ARM's (or ditch Macbooks entirely in favor of the iPad - I'm quite sure the iPad/phone outsells Macbooks by a large margin), which would NOT be a silly move for them, then that will again mean no Mac version of FL, ever.
