Absolutely fantastic! Great job Mr. Sches!!

Instant buy.

Not sure if it is operator problem but if I turn off each effect with the yellow light bypass button, I still hear the sound fed into Trantra being affected by something. The mix A bypass button is on but all the yellow bypass buttons on the effects modules are off. Dry wet at 100%. In the matrix the items are bypassed also. Still get modulated output. Layer B is also bypassed.

Is it the tremolo? If so, make sure that the Tremolo knob for each of the eight mods is set to zero (at the top of the GUI).
I guess there's another little feature request formulating ;)..
It would be great to be able to click somewhere, to bypass Tremolo and Pan Flip for each of the eight modulators (except that it looks like most modifier keys are already being used for something?).
I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.

Doesn't have to be a modifier key, if you'd be able to click on the blocks that visualize the effects chain to enable/disable effects. Tremolo is one of them.

Post

Yes, it is the tremolo that is the last effect standing. You can turn off the tremolo by setting the knob to 0%. But I don't understand what envelope it uses. Why can't you use a modulator sequence on the tremolo?

Post

The tremolo knobs are tied to the envelopes. So if you select an envelope, turn up the tremolo knob, then that envelope will be used for the tremolo effect.

Oh and a stereo knob as on the Diversion buss filters or phaser would be nice on the filter module, maybe even offsetting the modulation applied to the filter between left and right. I think that would be especially useful for phaser sounds (an option to change the flanger to a phaser would also be a possibility of course). Just a thought!
I thought cross-feedback was the same thing as ping-pong :o

For the ping-pong to ping and pong i set the time to different values.

Regarding tremolo (jk-cream2): See it as if the amplitude modulation is so common that it has it's own knob for each envelope. You can modulate the output knob but then you'd have to pull down the output to compensate so i think that's why Dmitry added a separate knob as a separate module. Basically, the filter and dist etc has it's own box below, the tremolo just happens to be on top of the sequences. It even has it's own coloured box there in the middle so you can move it before the filter for instance.
I hope it made sense!

I turned every thing off, the bypass on the distortion module is off but I seem to still get some distortion effect. I have to bypass the distortion in the modulation matrix. The matrix is using mod2 to modulate layerA dist On. Maybe the bypass on light means it is not using the modulation step sequence but still producing distortion?

You can modulate the on/off even if the bypass is off (dot shows black). I was thinking the bypass controls everything for that effect.

I am getting confused here. The bypass is on (dot is yellow) but I get distortion but no sequence modulation of it.

Depends on your implementation I guess. Some delays use a predelay on one of the channels to create the ping pong effect. The feedback in that case would be regular. The advantage is that the ping pong effect is audible throughout the tail, whereas with cross feedback and different delay times, the tail becomes less ping pongy after a while.

Nevermind the remark about stereo effects, you can achieve that result by using the Pan Flip parameter on the modulators :)

I think yellow means the effect is on and black that it's bypassed? :o
And yes, you can modulate bypass on/off but the light won't show. Would be VERY cool though :D

I really like the reverb in this and also Diversion.

It has a quality all its own.

I waited over a year to get Diversion but Tantra I couldn't resist. Thanks for another fantastic piece of sonic software and the early buyer discount!

About the GUI, it reminds me of Virtual CZ. I find it very clear and the colors very attractive.
