Very excited. FL-Studio 12 is a major step forward for Image-Line and all of it's users as well. I'm pretty sure there are still user requests that could or should be fullfilled that haven't, but as it stands right now, FL-Studio 12 is freakin' great right out the box. I love what they've done with it.

Is this the first fully native x64 FLS? I can't seem to find anything that trumpets this in the ad copy. I would think this would be front and center. Anyone?

the biggest oversight and the reason i am disappointed already is that the midi problems have not been developed, you still have to physically assign controllers, even the mod wheel which, forgive me if i am wrong that should be automatic? Anyway, it is absurd. most other daws now feature good midi features esp. studio one and ableton of course is amazingly easy and smooth in this respect , why fl hasn't done anything about it is just bizarre. if they had done this, if they had rethought the automation and the midi assignment so that it is quick and easy, i would buy it. as it stands i use midi a lot, so i won't be. which is a slight shame as it has some really powerful stuff going on in most other respects.

FL11 also had a non-beta 64-bit version. The news section on Image-Line's website suggests that it was released around July last year (http://www.image-line.com/documents/new ... dio-64-bit).
yep, a later version of 11 had a 64 bit version.

currently both 32 and 64 versions are installed, theres no option to select which one - so every plugin has a 'blah.dll' and a 'blah_x64.dll'

purely out of interest, I deleted all non _x64 bit dll's, and the two 32 bit fl.exe's to force 64 bit everything. (no bridging in case of missing 64 bit plugins)

it still works (so far).

are you even serious? You can't technically do MIDI assignment faster than how FL does it.

Basically, it's 1 click, for ANY amount of paramerters. You click, you move your software controls, you move your hardware faders in the same order, done. If you can imagine a system that requires zero click, I'm all ears.

& which other sequencer does it in 1 single click?
